Mains 2019 Preparation and Discussion Thread

@zombielandAttempted 2 with very short time in hand to study as I was working. I regret attempting those years (had thought who would require 6 chances to clear this exam, so attempted). 2 attempts full-time. 2019 attempt with job again until 21st June.

@TETRACYCLINEto be perfectly honest i dont think anyone can be 100% confident of clearing mains, there are many subjective factors at play during the correction process. At most one can be optimist about the result and not ceartain

The two good things that have happened with me over the last 100 days are that I've slept a lot and developed a habit of exercising daily. Really happy with the fact that my health is in a better shape than it was post mains.

@TETRACYCLINEthis waiting has made me numb and dont feel any anxiety at all about the results anymore which probably is a good thing as it saves from unecessery stress and tension.
On a side note what i feel it is mostly first timers who gets (over) confident of clearing mains and brag about it while experienced ones are always cautious in telling how they have writtem the exam

@kochikaamethere are many freshers who think they are smarter and repeaters are assh***. They forget that repeaters were also fresher. Many of them say I will give maximum of two attempts and then execute my backup option. They say that why some people keep on giving attempts. I remain silent and my mind says"meri toh maari gyi thi, beta tmhari bbbhhhiii maari jaayegi".
Before giving attempts I was also thinking same. But after giving attempts I found that it is very difficult to leave the temptation of civil services and enter into some other field. Sometimes we fail to perform in optional, sometimes in prelims and sometimes in essay. Each time we learn from our mistakes and give best in next attempt. And this process takes time. All of us are not lucky or may not be talented to enter into the holy pdf in the very first attempt but will enter that is sure.

@TeddyWestsideOld Monk extremists are good extremists. Reports suggest they pose no threat to social order and world at large. Coupled with Barcelona and Liverpool extremists , IPL and Dhoni extremists et al, they validate that peace and extremism can co-exist.

@Lazydreamer@NadigVinayLeft paytm around 2.5 years back to prepare for this exam. Recently for the last 2-3 months, I also was feeling the same way (not finding it worth to remain unemployed), and hence have rejoined the corporate (as any more gap would have made me completely obsolete for corporate scenario). Have decided that will work even harder and give future attempts with job only.
