Guys, Essay Paper is over. How was it?
essay- misinterpreted 2nd topic. So can’t say really.gs1- personally I felt slightly easier than last years( cuz geography was relatively easier, + I’m comfortable in socio questions due to my optional.gs2- difficult for me, especially 15 markers. Found them vague, wrote whatever I couldgs3- definitely easier than last years. SnT questions gave headache though.gs4- a very difficult paper indeed( very lengthy). Answer quality is definitely compromised.optional- slightly better than last time( fingers crossed).
gs 2 i agree with 15marker issue. i attempted 10 markers much better. gs 3 issue basically because of those fe questions only. gs 4 issue is that i cant really guage my performance because i dont remember what i wrote. gut feeling is that 10 markers have been done in haste (1:20) and these 10 markers created a panic due to the size of questions. after giving mocks, i am no more scared of gs 4 but never have i ever seen such huge 10 markers. what followed was panic. but then last year the quality is much bad and also left around 2 10 markers(basically did formality in writing them)
@Capedcrusader1 could u attempt imd , primary rock and deccan and sect question satisfactorily in gs 1 ? French president vs Indian president in gs 2 ? u left 2 in gs 4 last year or this year ?
bro i am doing holistic analysis here. i sat with both previous and this year papers. if this we year we had france and evolution of mcc then last year we had 14th fc,earn while learn,cbi (i didnt justify it holostically). so the issue is have it attempted what i knew well. like for eg i forgot dc wadhwa in governor but then i didnt remember legislative council provision last year. so im doing comparitive analysis.
gs 1 is an exception but insiders say its liberally checked. i knew primary rock but then uske next page me i also included sedimentary and metamorphic because i thought content hi nai h utna. imd is gone for sure. but that is out of competition. even if it is, a certain margin is there

last year two 10 markers were written in absolute haste. bell rung and one ending and other starting. this was the situation , this year paper was over within time. this time all gs papers are completed except gs 2 in which a half of 15 markers is not answered. too much time taken in rpa question. yes this q is also a cause of concern.
@Capedcrusader1 what were your scores in all papers ? if u can share.. and what were your learnings?
i will list the learnings:
- not less than 12 mocks. in case of gs4, not less than 5 mocks.
-dont leave till the end.
-vision test series helped me a lot this time.
-try to replace 365. i replaced it. i didnt lose anything unless james webb and vaccine is given in it (and seems important enough in light of its bulkiness)
-no optional and essay, no selection. plain and simple. last year i practised around 4-5 essays only
will add more learnings as time passes

@Capedcrusader1 ha gs2 mei halka hath tha. My 7 -8 frds had good in gs and least was 96 n highest being 110 amongst them while in gs3 it went all over the place from 76 to 101
acha . but despite the kind of checking they do, the 4-5 questions are the ones which are problematic. and this is across gs 1,2,3. i also think it has luck element , i know ppl who say they did well but got less marks. now they may very well be lying
