@toooldtodieyoung it's the UPSC key which matters. Every year its matter of 6-7 questions which turns the tide. anyone with 70s can go to 90s provided 6-7 answers goes in their favour.. which questions will turn no one knows. So practically no one is safe unless one has scored 110+. Which is very rare.

Have seen all the disputed questions going against me TWICE

As the result is drawing closer, I have this tingly feeling.

I have checked answers for both GS 1 and CSAT, getting a respectable score to clear, if I say logically it seems like I should clear but then there is always a doubt.

Last year, I was happily studying on the night of 23rd when the result came and my number wasn’t there to my shock. I had never thought I could fail CSAT ever, till the scores arrived in September I was cursing myself for GS performance, but the culprit was the other paper. This year I have resolved math qs after reaching back and assumed RC would be 40% correct atleast ( haven’t checked the coaching keys), and the situation seems good but the pain of last years failure refuses to die down, this is where tingly feeling comes, I check the papers again count the questions >>feel comfy >>slowly doubt makes it way back>>I again begin thinking abt what if>>reckeck.

Is there anyone who has a similar feeling?  I’m not sure I can do anything about it right now till the result comes positive, till then this thing doesn’t let you stay calm.

hi, I can understand what you are going through as I experienced a similar failure in 2018. Prelims has finally become a matter of luck than knowledge or hard work. Unpredictability of answer keys is an another factor that’s creating anxiety in everyone. So just remember that everyone here is going through the anxiety and please don’t worry. All the very best :)
btw, if you don’t mind me asking, what’s your probable score ?

Pleasantly surprised to find alumni from your alma mater. Wasn't expecting this while scrolling through this feed xDD  :')))

Bro it happens. Actually I am doing the very same (rechecking, adding, subtracting). I failed in Pre 2018 (mine 97.33,cutoff 98) and Pre 2019 ( mine 97,cutoff 98). Cleared PCS 2018 and left pre 2020. This year my score is pretty good and i have a strong feeling that I will clear it. But yes, these tingy feelings keep happening, because once used to be a time when All my doubtful questions went wrong and I used to linger in the 90-100 zone (cutoff was 98 for both the years).

I also get the joy of having a healthy margin but that pain you talked about naa...it is for real, but as Adler once said "trauma does not exist, only thing matters is what our goals are". Hence I get back to study for mains.

Ab toh koi fayada bhi nahi lagta answer discuss karke. OMR check ho chuki hogi aur UPSC ka sorting algo mere aapke aage ke jeevan ko tay kar raha hoga.
