How was the paper guys ?
Seeing 2021 paper, what advices would you guys like to give to 2022 aspirants?@sjerngal @KingSlayer23 and others.....any insights and suggestions pls?
honestly, let the result come first. Seeing what happened with people last year makes me skeptical about keys. Although the exam was more factual this year so my skepticism might be misplaced, not sure yet. Anyway, there is nothing special really to tell anyone...I just repeatedly did the basics because after the debacle of last year I didn't want to repeat the blunders I made in basics. Coming to the obscure factual ones...well nobody can really do anything about them, right? so I wasn't bothered with them before the exam. During the exam what happened was that I just happened to know some of the factuals or was able to recall some from vague memory. That's really how it went.
@oopsie Say, if we were to artificially use a pressure chamber, going by your logic it would automatically cook the wood without a flame. Secondly, if you have ever cooked food higher gas flame means the food cooks faster. I wonder why
The food would definitely cook "faster" if you increase the temperature of the flame. But, the temperature at which water boils inside the pressure cooker depends only on the pressure that the cooker can withstand, not on the temperature of the flame
Just pictures ?
Everyone is invited, but I think you all won't be able to make it to the venue on time :)
This time pictures, next time I achieve anything big , dinner for all dear forumites and you sir :)
Which city are you in? :)
Coimbatore . Now you see sir, from New delhi to Coimbatore for MY food is going to be an expensive affair.
Hello everyone,
It's great to be interacting here again. Hope you're all doing well. The paper yesterday was randomly random which albeit makes it tough. Do not pay heed to anyone saying the opposite.
Baaki guys take some time off and catch a breath or ✌. If anyone is in ORN and likes to play chess/badminton/football or any sport whatsoever, please let me know. Or alternatively as@whatonly suggested a face time isn't wholly a bad option. :)
Take a break people! I think this really helps, I was so so sad yesterday, after which I went for dinner with family, some shopping and today planned a self-care session, cooking ( my hobby), talking with grandparents and friends and many more things.
I feel much better today and from tomarrow back in the game for some other exams which are lined up! Take care you people. Maybe I would post some khane ke pictures for all of you, which you all can drool over.
Lil easy to say when it was your first attempt. Not so when you're into second or third.
I felt the same like you previous year. Not so this year post exam.
Irrespective of the attempt, don’t see what fretting will bring now that the paper is done.
And be it first attempt or third or last, all feel dejected after the exam for which they have toiled so hard goes bad, degree might change though.
Moving on from a situation does not show that the other person was not sad or this defeat doesn't matter much, its just coping mechanism and attitudinal difference among people.
Hey guys,
I was thinking maybe sometime we could do a forum people's zoom where we just hang out and chill for a while. I feel like the exam process feels very dehumanising and isolating, so it might do some good. Could make everyone feel a bit better to have a little bit of human connection and chitchat. I'm sure we can find a way to preserve anonymity :p
If anyone's interested we can take it up. Or if you think it's weird and creepy please ignore 😂
+1 iam in
Just for information.
Two of my friends whom I consider serious aspirants as they have given interview and 2-3 mains are getting same score as me.(in the range hovering from 82 to 88).
One of them got 112 last year which is pretty much good score if we consider the cut off...so my humble advice for those who are getting 90+ to start preparing for mains because you have a fair chance.
( I'm not sure about UPSC answer key and classes answer key variations). Hope UPSC marks goes in favour of you.
