Can virus be created artificially/synthetically??

I marked yes.(All of the above)

Virus can't be, it's a pyq.

someone above shared an IE article from 2020 regarding culturing of viruses in a lab, idk. I ticked all too.

@a_rakesh10399 Cut off(UR) will likely be in range of 88-93. Last year also, I predicted it in range of 92-95. You can see it in my comments.

Hey guys,

I was thinking maybe sometime we could do a forum people's zoom where we just hang out and chill for a while. I feel like the exam process feels very dehumanising and isolating, so it might do some good. Could make everyone feel a bit better to have a little bit of human connection and chitchat. I'm sure we can find a way to preserve anonymity :p

If anyone's interested we can take it up. Or if you think it's weird and creepy please ignore 😂

Which year pyq? May be some latest research proves that it can be done. Normally answers to these types of questions have answers as All of the above. I too marked All.

"Since viruses lack metabolic machinery of their own and are totally dependent on their host cell for replication, they cannot be grown in synthetic culture media."

Animal viruses are normally grown in animals, embryonated eggs, or in cell cultures where in animal host cells are grown in a synthetic medium and the viruses are then grown in these cells.

i dont know about latest research, lekin this is what ive learnt since long

CSAT was not just tough but also tricky. That English alphabet mirror question asked about only consonants. Minimum 2 questions had very vague language in reasoning and quant section. So, I assume the cut-off to be the same as last year.

Magnetite nanoparticles are generated in a controlled manner by microwave raditations. Hence they can be produced in microwave home-devices too. I once debated on how Ozone cannot be produced by stubble burning (2019 Q), but I was wrong. UPSC perhaps takes liberal approach in these questions. Hence "all of the above" seems correct.
