I disagree with heaviest question. 

A and D should be before B, E and F. But since they are not heaviest, there should be one which should be

It only leaves C to be heaviest. So, one can derive C as heaviest from statement 1 only.

@parle ji_ in the statement1, the “none of them”is mentioning about BEF (as the statement is comparing A and D with BEF). If the statement could have been “all of them” then A and D also included. So statement 2 is also need. Having said the UPSC goes with the question creator.

Drop from 1.5m

After, 1st tip pe 1.2m

After, 2nd tip pe 0.96m

After, 3rd tip pe 0.768m

After, 4th tip pe 0.6144m

After, 5th pe 0.49m 

And since it is less than 0.5m/ 50cm, the ball would stop. 

So Answer 5

@kohliwag but, one can definitely say that B, E, F have low weights than A and D (because, given). If you rank it, only A and D can be heavier than B, E, F but statement also says A and D are not heaviest so, that leaves only C. I don't think there is much doubt. 😅

I would request you mark these heights vertically on a paper and then count the no. of tips. I'm sure you will find it to be 5 tips.

@parle ji_ you are right. I just solved the heaviest question. Answer should be statement 1 only. Because they already said A and D is heavier than BEF. I made a mistake. Fortunately csat won’t be a problem for me

@parle ji_  with only first statement we can't find solution as C can be equal to A and D as nowhere it is written as all have distinct weights. Only with second statement we can know the relation of C with A D
