[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?

This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.

Ur article also mentions things in detail. Meaningful is not just about grammar but  something  that makes sense. The following  lines  doesn't--

"Since the narrator cannot have a job in Seattle and also a job in “some school” in China at the same time, the story must be set in 1945, with the narrator imagining their future educational career “a hundred years from now”, thanks to some unreasonably optimistic expectations about their lifespan."

It's a part of ur shared article.UPSC will decide. All the best for mains.

@VivekanandS I did. Attempted 1 and 4. I read about senior citizens criteria somewhere, but shocked to find every coaching providing 1,2.

Article published in June 2020 says

But the fact that AI WILL SOON be able to tell stories – and make sense of the world – suggests that this world will never be the same again."

Presently  it only helps journalists by some repetitive content. They did insert words like Presently  effectively

Your sources actually disprove you..they are talking about limitations about AI stories and only data jugglery..have a look..

But writing is not data. It is a means of expression, which implies that you have something to express. A non-sentient computer program has nothing to express, quite apart from the fact that it has no experience of the world to tell it that fires don’t happen underwater. Training it on a vast range of formulaic trash can, to be sure, enable it to reshuffle components and create some more formulaic trash. (Topics “highly represented in the data” of GPT2’s training database were Brexit, Miley Cyrus, and Lord of the Rings.) All well and good. But until robots have rich inner lives and understand the world around them, they won’t be able to tell their own stories. And if one day they could, would we even be able to follow them

@Aspirant123 I have attached screenshot of guardian news article. AI can form stories and articles on its own! A few songs too composed by AI are up there on youtube. So meaningful stories and songs by AI is perfectly correct statement. Dont know about Wireless thing. So according to me has to be all right. Moreover for sure upsc is the final decider but im pretty sure for this AI thing.
Anyways all the best for mains.
P.S. I am scoring 104 by vision and shankar without desher and rakhmabai, so AI doesnt matter. But 100 percent acc to me it will be all correct.
All the best for mains.

Read the article as if it's csat RC and then u will understand the essence of the article. It is telling how AI is not a threat to story writer at least as of now.

In this article, author is talking abt taking the help of AI for reducing time and effort, and not abt AI writing complete meaningful stories.
