Sometime some stories ended without getting started.. But often feel good and relaxed .

So finally aaj meri csat ki class conclude hui hai..

@SiddhantW Well I wasn't specifically talking about Drishti daily CA or monthly CA, i was referring to the sites you refer to when you search for a topic.
Like for e.g you want to understand Forest Rights Act and its challenges

I liked the content of 2nd better,
And since drishti is one of the top results nearly everytime, i regularly source content from it as well.
Was just wondering about consistent quality alternatives.

Boss, can you be a Lil bit more specific as to what you really want to internalise and memorise?

Concepts of polity can be understood by creating algorithms of 'if,not and while format' eg. All three emergencies.

If you want to understand the philosophy behind it, then that's a different ball game.

While to retain those articles you'll need to juxtapose them. How is A358 different than A359 etc.

You can also try to understand the ordering of articles.

A constitution of a country would first want to define what the country is, it's boundaries, it's citizens and it's state etc. Hence A(1-12) and so on.

@Morticia Science background too

I think above advice by Siddhant is pretty good "If, not, while format" pretty much sums my approach.

May be you can also try to develop an interest in Polity, Its beautiful (in some aspects). And if you would like a fresh perspective on Polity you can try the Magna Carta crash course by Atish mathur sir, free on youtube. Its pretty short.

@SiddhantW Thanks. Also, nothing specific per se. Just an overall hold on the subject.

@Aazaad I'll surely have a look at the course, thanks for suggesting.

Also, can you guys give an example of the "If, not, while format" for clarity.

@Deepanshu_Namdev Just notes prep for MGP Qs and topics. Kahin se to shuruat karni hai notes ki.

On that note, @everyone please recommend sites with quality content online. Was using Drishti earlier, but now realising thoda precision and clarity kam h udhar. Same topic from IAS Parliament (didnt even know about it) felt so much better. @LetsGetThisBread I remember you said you used online resources extensively.

Drishti, forum, insights, jo kuch bhi mil rha tha where I felt my notes lacked depth waha pe fill in the blanks kiya

Amidst all of this chaos that prep creates, I feel like I'm losing myself and I do not wish to be so lost that I cannot recognize myself. How do I stay afloat? By doing things I love? How do I do the things I love? Is there any time to do that , 'cause I feel like it is always running out?

This should have been somewhere in my diary, not on this thread. But, here it is; This thread feels like home on days I do not feel at home with myself. Afterall, it is here that I see an account of everything that I have done and not done. I am afriad, I am getting too attached :P

I am always short of words when I wish to communicate my feelings. So, I compensate with silent hugs to everyone at home and write what helps me clear my head. Probably, this is one of the things I love, and this where I begin, and my worries end - My words will steady me , when everything else fails...

Can anyone help me with some insight on covering GS 2 topics apart from polity - Governance and social justice IR etc. Also, should I cover GS1 portions of society with these topics because it is similar issues and linkages , right?

Hey everybody!

Starting from today my preparation for 2023. This will be my 2nd attempt. Having decided against going to Delhi, I'll be moving along with the community.
Like most of you guys over here, I'll be posting my daily targets, daily results, and weekly results on a regular basis hoping to build on small achievements. Will seek a little guidance from you all every now and then as I've arrived a little late to the party.

(Day 01)

Targets for today -

Polity - M.Laxm. (Chapters 1-4)

PSIR - SR Ma'am notes (Plato and Socrates)

TH - 2nd Sept.

Newspaper reading is where I need a little guidance. How do I go about it? Making notes every day sounds like a daunting task to me. Do you guys make handwritten notes for everything you feel is important or only for things not well covered in online portals like Insights/BABA, etc? How do you do it? Please guide. Suggestions are required.

Till now, have completed what was there on to do list.

let’s see how the rest of the evening goes, just sharing an update regarding what’s going on.

Things haven’t been so well in the last two years, struggling to clear even prelims and not landing anywhere, did skip this attempt and trying to maintain consistency everyday, failing to achieve and complete MGP schedule on time and even the optional test series but doing whatever I can, even if late then also trying to complete. This will be my 3rd attempt.

sometimes I feel taking a break is a great option and sometimes I feel I might waste my time. But then I’m taking breaks in between studies. Let’s see how it goes

whoever is going through something similar, sending more power and strength to you ✨✨
