[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?

This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.

Scored 126 in simulator, think I made many avoidable errors. Probably a lot of high scores incoming.

The feel good easy test by forum might be a little early, but thanks nonetheless.

Vision FLTs were quite draining

Yes..Scored 132 with half closed eyes and hungry stomach..Questions were easy. Attempted 99 questions leaving only that scramjet as I had less idea about them.

There was an option of "Review Results". I clicked on that and it showed me the result. May not be reachable now I think after the ending of the time slot. Wait for 20th then.

It is definitely easier than Vision FLTs. But it is also closer to actual UPSC pattern than any other mock I have taken

Guys if a statement is like that whether Council of minister is collectively responsible to Parliament, should I mark it right or wrong as Parliament also has Rajya sabha as its one of the part while Article 75 specifies that it is collectively responsible to Lok sabha?

Mark it as wrong because as you stated COM is collectively responsible only to LS

@Shubz EWS was brought in haste just ahead of elections without fully considering its implementation details. Now it has become a headache for the UPSC.

Great stimulator. There's actually no point in making stimulators/mock tests as hard as UPSC. For one, it's nearly impossible to predict how UPSC is going to frame the question, or from what source. Secondly, it doesn't matter if you get 160 or 90 in mock tests. Scores are going to be relative anyway,  and You just need to be thinking on the right lines, remembering what you studied.

This was easy no doubt, scored 140, but I can say for myself it was perfect for revision+identifying issues to focus on in next couple of weeks. Atleast 20 questions from current affairs were ones I had been planning to revise, but putting off. Luckily I remembered them+ now I can revise it quickly via solutions.

Forum never disappoints, it gets you on the right track✓

Related to the EWS court case, I have been wondering as to how a couple of people categorised as ews can afford a lawyer like Salman Khurshid?? Is it pro bono or something??

Salman Khurshid, Sanjay Hegde, J Sai Deepak are all working pro bono for EWS peeps.

Also, the latest update: UPSC is "exploring its options" at the moment. So, the marks release is on hold. They are considering appeal in the SC now.

Deleted by mistake. This is the current update. However, nothing is certain at the moment.

2019 CSE will easily go down as one of the most frustrating exam conducted. (Thank you, elections 2019)

Out of curiosity, the EWS case is not going to change how much each of us scored in the exam. UPSC can simply have a sentence on the said EWS candidates marksheet that result is withheld. If they could release the ranks what is stopping them from releasing marks?

Got just 90 in Simulator!!

In Vision abhyaas last 2 tests got 87 in T1 and 97 in T2.

Had cleared previous UPSC CSE Prelims 2019 (was scoring around 112)

I too felt the exam was very easy. Completed in 1 hour 20 min - but shocked to see my marks. Don't know what went wrong. Disappointed!!
