Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.
@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?
This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.
@TheNotorious Justifying your Handle's name I see! :P
And thank you for ruining that meme for me! :/
Now that I notice it, the girl who is finding "the candy" is being observed by that man in a suit next to her as if to guide her or what! XDDDDDDDDDD
Hahaha!
My handle-name is dedicated to the one and only “Who the fook is dat guy” vale Baba.
@SergioRamos @TheNotorious Remedial Chaos Theory episode of Community, worth watching after prelims :^)
Saw on YT the video on which the meme was based.
This show isn’t my type of shiz. :/
@Warrior100 curious about this too, would we see higher cutoffs due to people dropping out? :l
Logically speaking the number of people appearing for the exam shouldn't affect the cut off. The cut off isn't decided based on the number of people appearing for exam but rather the number of people selected. They are going to select around 10 to 15 thousand people regardless of whether 5 lakh people write it or 2 lakh people write it. Now, since there was a lot of time for people to study, everyone might be well prepared and so the cut off might increase due to a large number of candidates performing well.
Hello, friend! The day is nigh!
Just wanted to thank you all for reading all my (long) posts on this platform. You may have commented on it with your thoughts or you might have been a silent observer. Either way, I wanted to let you know that your attention has meant a lot to me, not just over the last week, but the past few months. Writing on this platform was part of helping me confront my own troubles; it was part of my own recovery, and all of you were the friends I really needed at this point in time.
You might not know it, but communicating my thoughts to you all has been therapeutic for me. The energy on this platform has been amazing, and I must thank each one of you, whether you were a silent observer or an active participant.
The little acts of kindness you do have great ripple effects, but one is often blind to those. You often do not realize the true value of the things you do. At this point, most of us might be underestimating our own preparation, and worrying incessantly about what might happen tomorrow. So, I ask you one last time to be kind to yourself. Look around you, you are exactly where you are meant to be right now. Life is good. You've been good. And good things will come to you. Have not a shred of doubt; there's simply no time or space for it.
I hope I have been able to help you in whatever little way I can with my posts. To those who found my daily posts annoying, I apologise and I hope that you will forgive me. I wish you all the very best not just in this examination, but in life. I wish you and your family good health and good fortune.
"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."- JK Rowling. I hope that you'll remember to turn on the light. :)
The last song of the week, one of my favourites:
There is no point in worrying about cut off or how many questions one shall attempt.
It's the paper which decides the above two factors.
As far as keeping yourself calm is concerned then if you know basics and have covered most (if not all) syllabus with one or two revision then you are all set for prelims.
UPSC set paper in very balanced manner to give level playing field to all aspirants regardless of how much experience they have.
Knowledge has very limited role in this exam.
Logic + knowledge (basics) + presence of mind which forms the trinity of the aptitude(elimination skills) and how you approach the exam becomes deciding factor.
So, be confident even if you know basics and revised just once. It would be sufficient but only when you will show faith in yourself.
Just approach the exam tomorrow properly and even limited knowledge would be enough. So, Relax.
If i have mild fever on the day, will i be allowed to take the exam
i dont think they ll be provided with a thermal scanner .. I have nt heard use of thermal scanner in any recruitment exam as of now. it was only used during jee neet . But there is very slight possibility after SC ruling they might have diverted some of those scanner to upsc centers ..And those people in centers are crazy as we all knw.. I wont be taking medicine though .. it makes u lethargic .
