@dr-ahmednaaz8567Can i be bit critical?msp jyadatar wheat aur rice ko milta ha jinke processing potential jyada ha nahi..green revolution and cheap electricity bhi food processing k liye satik factor nahi ha agar hota to ab tak food processing hub ban gaya hota north west india..

Looks like i'm the only person who didnt write this qn. Wrote it in last min, drew map of nw india highlighting punjab, haryana, rajasthan and wrote there itself the food products produced there. Being the first person in class, the invigilator took my ppr as soon as bell rang. Felt bad after exam that i didnt mange time properly.

@Yes_I_am_inbhugol aur fasal along with other many things kaise is jagah ko puts in advantage for food processing yahi puchha tha...that's why term north west was mentioned..

@tss
Yes off course u can be...msp also covers pulses...and most importantly sugar..In d form of FRP, u can include maharashtra and guarat in North west india but cant appreciate role of MSP in food processing sector in North west...without msp commercial farming would not have grown much in the region..

@tssquestion was from location of industry,so saare factors likhne hoge

@dr-ahmednaaz8567points like big farmers, larger tracts of land, growth of fpos,in Maha fruits are cultivated, and to increasing diversity..msp actually counter productive to food processing industry and reason for declining production ...

@tssagroclimatic factors food production se related hai na ki processing se, even eastern region of India has good agroclimatic factors which if technology and other things put in place can lead to increased production like that in punjab and haryana. raw material base for food processing industry is good in up haryana on account of irrigation, technology use hyv, mechanisation in short green revolution, robust msp mechanism in these staates and not becoz of agroclimatic favourability.

@tssbhai apka answer acha hai par usme do basic flwas hai -

  1. What constitute northwest india
  2. focus on agroclimatic role in food processing and linking it with climatology /physical geography where focus should have been on economic geography aspect.
agroclimatic is not responsible for localisation of food processing industries there.
Baki sabhi points apke great hai.

@sat_009green revolution se wheat aur rice ka monoculture bara ha north west ma which has not been able to enthuse food processing which needs diversity of products and independent commercial farming without any govt clutches...that's why question was asked to depict the alternatives that are available in north west and not present msp led disadvantagous regime with only monocropping of rice and wheat...

@tsswhat is food proxessing according to u?i mean ur definition

3.9k views

@ranyo_asokacommercial food processing industry with export potential and commercial viability, processed foods with value addition...not rice or wheat mills....

2.9k views

@tssi said na food production and processing are different things, robust msp include other crops, even agri market is good in those states, so raw material base is good,
second thing aap agroclimatic ki reasoning bataye nahi

3.6k views

@sat_009agro climatic yahi Bolta ha ki fasal k diversity ha... of products .....from fruits to cerals to sugarcane and potato and Vegetables...unlike present msp regime of practical monocropping...

2.9k views

@sat_009production and processing are different everyone knows..but they are dependent.. processing depends on scale ,kind and quality of production...

@tssSince you mentioned agro climatic zone, you should know that there are 15 agroclimatic zones in india and maharashtra is in an altogether different zone than punjab and haryana.
