maine bhi galat likha hai RPA wale m baki disqualification k sath age etc ki, but maone genrl form mein likhi ki if age is found less thn the required one thn could be disqualifiedcoz i wasnt sure constitution mein he bai bs ya act mein bhi h

@ranyo_asokayaar vision ke SoP material mein de rakha hai (I am sure it must have talked about SoP as well). I have read it in context of constitutional position of president (how he is nominal head and CoM is real) and sweep of executive powers.

@tssbhai woh ek random website hai.. UPSC me toh govt source, ncert etc hi chalega.. And northern maha bhi central consider kr skte hain, but NW is way too much

@tssbhai sab chodh k ek bar ap map k samne jake dekho.. Khud socho NW me kya aa sakta hai aur kya nahi..

Ek bar k lie ye likhna ki NW region has proximity with Maha, Guj which can be a factor(downstream, exports) phir bhi sahi hai.. But I dont think any Prof would consider Maha and Guj to be part of NW of India, howsoever subjective the question is and regardless of the number of interpretations possible..

Starting on a cynical note..

One need not be too concerned about line by line accuracy in upsc mains.
It's good to have perspective on what we wrote and what could be done better.. but losing minds over such finer details is not worth it.

There are instances in past in my group where people who wrote biodiversity act and Sendai /hyogo (p3 last year , I guess) very accurately ended up getting 80s in that paper . At the same time..people who wrote pretty generic even by standards of GS got good marks.

I'm not encouraging complacency here. A couple of weeks back people started losing their minds after seeing couple of well written answers and things went beserk. All I'm saying is.. it's okay to discuss stuff..but lets not lose faith in what we have written. Let's be optimistic . I guess it's the only way we can be at peace till results.

Placing Maharashtra in Northwestern India is laughable.
And strictly speaking even Gujarat isn’t NW its proper west!
Rajasthan,Punjab,Haryana would be apt plus Western UP since GR links can be established here.

@ManchesterUniteddefending was more, exam ke limited time me hum sab se kuch na kuch mistake ho sakte hai, par exam ho jane ke bad hame sikhna chahiye, atleast vaguely defend karna a wrong fact is avoidable.

More laughable is the fact that people are defending it even after 1 month...

Northwest region comprises parts of Raj. , haryana, punjab.. they are thays why served under NW railway zone

@sat_009this happens more during prelims discussion. People mark options in exam based on gut feel/tukka/improper reading of question. But on forum they defend it as if those articles/analysis/factoids actually informed their choice in exam. Hum sab iss cheez ke guilty hain (some more in degree than others, ofcourse).
