@tsscold storage also comes under food processing..green revolution meant grains need to be stored in safe conditions..also irrigation canals set up as result of green revolutio along with indus river system lead to increased food grain cultivation..these r push factors fr such industry locations

@K_9cheap labour,cheap electricity agar itna important factor ha to abhi Tak bana q nahi food processing industry in Punjab and Haryana?? Kya Karan ha ki itne behetarin factors ha firvi ban nahi pa Raha ye industry in Punjab and haryana???

@ranyo_asokasystem and infrastructure are hijacked by monocropping that is I am trying to say..cold storage wouldn't help in food processing if you cultivate only rice and wheat..green revolution k factors ki adverse impact ha Jo food processing ko tabah Kar Raha...that's why they have asked for north west and not any other parts of India...

Good to see lengthy discussion...dear question was regarding location factor...no single factor is solely responsible for agrobased industries...but they all interact to create the condition...also even in the absence of these factors industry can grow...but as per the question...These are pertinent factors...what is really problematic is mentioning maharashtra and gujarat when question clearly mentions north west India...not only it would not fetch any marks it would create a bad impression on the examination that u failed to understand the question...again everything I said is IMO

Ashirvaad atta Haryana me banta.. from grains to atta.. food processing hi to hai yeh..
So GR is one of the factors
