@ManchesterUnitedya..only exam in world where person is in tention while preparing, while giving exam and then waiting foe result along wiith each shock after each answer gets wrong in prelims... tedious journey..hope to end this positively

@bevancomjada discuss bhi nhi hua hai idhar waise..sab GS exam ke 3-4 max discuss hua hai... jus answer whats asked there with information u have..thwre is no one way of answering as individuality is different of different people...

@ranyo_asokasahi mein Yeh har saal hota hai.I was happy after my prep level and giving paper as I addressed all parts of question with around 12-13 excellent answers in each paper and best in essay, optional and gs3.but yahan logon ke answers dekhne de baad neend aani band ho gayi hai.I have socio optional and seeing pepole, s gs 1 socio answers made me feel dumb despite the fact I have done very well in optional

@Delta2016 and 2017 me same tha except (more liberal marks in essay and gs paper 2 and 3 in 2017, less marks in gs paper 4 in 2017 in comparision to 2016)
(2018 marks = 2017 marks in gs paper 1,2 and 3 × 0.75)
essay score in 2018 = 2017 marks × 0.75

@Deltathis does not give us definitive trend hence despite we know the past we cant predict the future

@sat_0090.75x is too less, maybe that was the case with GS3. But people did score in GS2 and gs4 last year.

In CAT ques, I wrote about CAT quashing Cadre allocation of IAS officers(2018), when it was actually the HC which did that

Every year 1 GS paper is evaluated strictly, was GS2(2016), GS4(2017), GS1 last year probably.

@Deltayes,many people scored farely well in gs-2 and gs-4 in 2018..It was only in gs-3,where this 0.25 factor should be applicable, I feel..

@sat_009Hey.. You appeared in interview in 2017? Can you tell how was the experience..and also how much did you score in interview.? Just so that we have a rough idea.

@sat_009Cutoff dropped by 35 marks only.. so 0.75 ka factor toh kisi angle se thik nhi baithta...Kanishk Katariya scored 117 in both gs 2 & gs3..by ur factor, he would have scored 142 in both gs 2 and gs 3 in 2017 and 141 in Ethics...seems too exaggerated

@DeltaGS 2 was not strictly checked in 2016.. I had 99, which dropped to 96 in 2017.

There was someone commenting earlier about leaving 120 odd marks in anthro in 2017 , and yet scoring 250 odd.

I want to pitch in my little experience on that.

2017 is an anomaly for anthro..kind of like jackpot. It's my first attempt and I completely screwed up p1 of anthro that year. (Left around 30 marks, wrote 1 page answers for another 30 .. And garbage like neanderthals are in Mesolithic culture). I scored in 150s that year. Next attempt p1 was bit tricky..but I was well prepared.. Wrote really well quality wise , completed the paper except one 10 marker. And result..I got less than 2017.(in 140s)

Am I preaching that we shouldn't study..hell no.

In 2018, many of friends who scored exceptionally well in 2017, dropped to 115-120 range in p1. May be the effort I made helped me to retain that score(in 140s).

My point is making pattern changes every year. It's not fair to judge our efforts just because we scored well one year. There might be luck factor also involved.

@Valar_morghulisI believe you have appeared for interviews earlier..right? How was your attempt this time around?
