@Biryanimafia_ I'm afraid this information is not out in public domain in so far as revealing it to non-parties (to the case). I've no idea of how the concept of confidentiality works in ongoing proceedings.

@AzadHindFauzconfidentiality in ongoing case? The information you shared here is either given in pleading by party or on order of Member of Tribunal. In either situations, it's in public domain, unless required in exceptional circumstances (threat to integrity et. al.) And what are the facts of this confidential case which made CAT adjudicate on it? You're implying ipso facto excessive jurisdiction.

@TETRACYCLINE+1. I wasted nearly 60 hours doing current affairs booklets in the month of march. Glad I could revise them only once again and not 3 or 4 times. What did I gain from this effort?

@AzadHindFauzi guess your numbers are right..and ews cutoff for prelims would've been higher than UR cutoff.. that's why they shifted everyone not able to produce certificate to general who qualified under ews.(high cutoff for ews might be due to less seats and more candidates filling under ews proportional to general candidates)

@ranahere999EWS cutoff can't be higher than general. Vo sab faltu bank exams me hota hai, not in upsc. EWS shifted to general are the ones with marks higher than gen cutoff, otherwise disqualified.

Yes u r correct. Cut off of any reserved category can never be more than general. At the most it can be equal. Simple maths...All reserved candidate are also general.

@dr-ahmednaaz8567no in multi-stage exams it is possible that cutoff for reserved category is more than general.
If someone qualifies under SC category in prelims bt gets more marks in mains than general, in such scenario SC cutoff for mains will b more than general. It has happened in Raj. That obc cutoff was more than general

So automatically, gen cutoff again will be higher as these candidates will be treated on par with gen cat. State and bank exams prepare list callously, but in upsc gen cutoff will always be highest.

hypothetically its possible. even if reservation candidates score higher in all stages but use age relaxation they will not be treated as general, so cutoff will be greater than general.

But in some state exams u will find very little difference between cutoffs of general n reserved ones especially obc. Sometimes obc cutoff can be more than general.

In CSE ews cutoff may become higher than general becoz there is so much uncertainty in prelims. There r large number of candidates near cutoff. So a bit relaxation on prelims cutoff will benefit ews candidates. A ews candidate may score little less than general in prelims bt may perform better in mains.

However, this year I think cut off of ews will be close to obc cutoff or lower.
