[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.


@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?

anyone has any idea about how the omr machine works? I marked a small dot(~10% of bubble) on a wrong option before marking the right one fully. will it be considered wrong? any official document which i can refer regarding rules on this matter? any insight is appreciated.

@sunnykumarroy658377 Checked from 3 keys and max discrepancy in all 3 keys is for 4 passages. Basically all the maths ones are 100 % correct so i see no chance of losing in that. There are 2 questions jisme 2 keys se mera answer match ho rha hai and ek key mein different. By and large 2 -3 passages mein difference lag raha hai. Har key se calculate karke meri gaadi 75 above hai still scared.I have attempted more passages than reasoning and maths ones but maths mein sahi hai saare bas yeh dar hai passage mein koi landmark discrepancy na aajaye joh 3 keys mein nahi aa rhi hai phir bhi kuch guide kardo yaar.

Ye har saal ka scene hai.... last time almost entire cls of insights raised their hands in a video of classroom whn the faculty asked hw many r scoring above 105. Insights ki website ke comments me koi 100 ke niche baat hi nai krta jldi.

Did vision give their cutoff prediction for 2020? Couldn't find it in their answer key document.

105 toh bilkul nahin hoga. My method of calculating is to look at how many straight forward questions “every serious aspirant” can answer and compare it with previous years cut off. General Cut-Off will be 94-96 accordingly. If you remove all the disputed questions and scoring 92+ —>you must prepare for Mains.

bhail log, with six years of experience and have cleared last 4 pre consecutively , i can tell you cut off will hover around 97+- 2..... but the only caveat is upsc key and coachings has significant variation.Anyone scoring 92+ cab be in list and at the same time,anyone scoring 104 can be out of game. Ayone scoring 100 marks excluding controversial question is more than safe.
