How was your paper? How did you approach the paper?
i read in his blog he scored around 60s in gs3 vision ias test series ended up getting 117 in actual gs3
Coaching ke evaluation scam hai , can't be correlated to actual exam performance
Mtob obviously ek level pe ane ke lie it definitely helps . Starters ke lie khaskar .
But after a certain level . Performance reflect hogi mains me can't be said .
Also it depends on type of Q asked in mains , ab kisi ko gdp wala points yaad hoga ache se uske No to milenge hi .
And tests series me aisa W ye saal shyd h aya ho kisi me
maxm jagah restricted mentality se check krte hai jo model ans me nh likha wo likh dete hai remark mai .
Ans ki originality pe marks nh dete , moreover maxm cases me senior aspirants h check kr rhe hote hai.
Originality , innovation , understanding , to the point answer and basic structuring ye marks dilwata hai upsc me .
What do you mean by originality of content in GS?
What I do is- for ex I read static portion of GS3 as well as current affairs. I mug up facts. I read multiple times to memorize points. I understand them as well. In paper as per demand of the question i use the content that I hv studied.
As per u this content is original or duplicate?

60 was in first test. In second it was between 105 to 110.

@Capedcrusader1 bhai Upsc ko bhi transparency me state psc se sikhni chhaiye.kuch toppers exam ke last month tak lagatar 5 uploaded copy me bakwaas likhte aur achanak saraswati ji ke sapne me aane se xam din gaar aate jhande. aakhir hamare tax se chal rahi body me itna primordial bureaucratic mindset kyu as if official secret mang liya humne,wo bhi jab democracy name ka swag hai aaj kal junta me!!
Baat logically sahi hai but practically nahi. Jyada transparency upsc laaega to wahi state PCS type writ par writ hogi, exam delay hoga, aspirant suffer karenge. UPSC zealously guards it's exam process. Law mein ek Balance of convenience kahte hain. Ki ek decision ko ek direction mein lo to ek party of inconvenience hogi, dusri taraf lo to dusri ko, matlab inconvenience dono taraf hai, so judges choses option where inconvenience is less. I think UPSC ki transparency would be more inconvenient to aspirants as compared to its opaqueness. Hence I support UPSC stand of non disclosure of information, lesser inconvenience to aspirants, at least exam timely hota hai har saal.

GaryVee,plmokn25688524@masteroptimist but why is Kanishak is even a case study here. He was a first attempter then, somebody who was too absorbed in maths. He must have improved through tests itself as is visible in his non-completion of answers. Otherwise, if you look at toppers scores they are good only. 🥺🥺 Harsh truth.

After going through topper copies, do you guys really feel that they write much much above the average..?
Barring few , i believe ,after analysing toppers copies, that the one important factor to success in this exam is ..
Consistency in answers ( most of the toppers maintain a uniformity in 16+ answers in terms of structuring etc.)
Eg: you either underline all answers or you don't underline at all ...
Similarly hand writing, initial answers have good presentation and later answers are just scribbled .
These things show inconsistency in our thought process. It shows people are reactive, panicking under pressure.
Uniformity across answers represents a stable mind, that the person is in control of paper and is definitely well rewarded.
It's difficult to maintain the consistency and flow across answers in all papers and requires good amount of mental strength, which some people have naturally or some gain with practice.
It's very easy to get tempted and invest lot of time in answers from our favourite area or answers which we attempt first, and later on rush through in the end.
And also ,sometimes in exams we get mental blockade in first one hour (due to exhaustion or resistance) and attempt only 60 marks and later rush through remaining stuff.
People believe they have met demand of questions, written good answers etc etc.
But deep down one has to analyse if you were able to maintain that uniformity and control during exam. This is where many people get stuck in this vicious loop for years together. And this is where a good test series , sincerely attempted can help aspirants.
Ofcourse external factors are always there like optional, luck etc.
Anyways, I myself could never master this. And even this year ..many papers, i lost that control and balance .
But the sooner one realises this, the sooner one exits this cycle.

With due respect to so-called 'insiders', I think we should believe their words at our own risk. This just adds to speculation.
I can also make a prediction that since essays were tough, many people will be scoring low. While, one who have given 'original content' (dont know what is that) are getting rewarded with 140+ score.
I remember trusting their 'sources' at the time of prelims result. While the result came out that day itself, the date of the result was already provided by media 2~3 days back. While in the TG group, it was presented as if .....
They have no Idea.
In few days they will say results will be out around 12-15 or something like that ' deadline is 18 march'
and when the date is close they start looking for Friday and the game starts. After this every day is result day since morning to evening they keep you in horror by making it seem like result can be out at any moment now.
And result will come eventually because they already told you so but they do it every night before you go to sleep and listen to ' Yahi raat antim yahi raat bhari' and next day from morning to evening you will be feeling like going potty and waste entire day.
Be prepared for this :D
