@sjerngal if you have writte hmta, then you can get more
i wrote 4 things including hmta, but they were unrelated to tribals
study of calcutta city , use of culture area to understand sacred sites ad 1 more.
hmta was later compared to roy burman

i thought of attempting sc roy. but then there too only a specific thing is asked. one had to write on mores and traditions only.
the other question of sc roy part were equally if not more specific
but in nk bose, other two were fairly easy. PRI and tribals and education
didnt write a lot on nk bose dont think its needed

how was neolithic question. did you attempt it?


I attempted the neolithic question.. I had read about it.. Knew it very well.. 
Drew a map..
Mentioned about tools/material culture etc. etc..
I read read this topic from Ember and Ember so I wrote site specific points...
In the end also mentioned about 2-3 theories behind neolithic revolution (hoping to get some brownie points)

they asked near east so i think i might have written wrong sites. i wrote skhul, shanidar caves 
rrest all i wrote the same as general neolithic

Just asking, if in Maths Paper, there is something to prove, and you prove it correctly, why don't they give Full marks. Also if there is some numerical, and you got the answer right with proper steps....then also why not full marks. Why is rational not real in Science optionals ?

@Admgenalanezh The examiner gives full marks but SCALING .
Scaling is necessary for level playing field in terms of marks.
However, there is no level playing field when it comes to effort that engineering science and maths optional demands.
More than 25 thick books
25 year compilation of IAS ESE Ifos 
It's really too much 
To get top marks may be equally tough in all subjects but even an average score in Maths/engineering requires lots of disproportionate effort vis a vis other subjects.
