@chikuiasbano @chamomile Yaar I am really too insignificant to give a good score for this test. Static questions were in good number. So as long as one is getting them right, they r good to go. My static qns were wrong...even while attempting them I was getting confused.
Thanks for the update on shankar and onlyias mocks. I have only attempted Forum qns so far. Time to test other mocks!
@Shailputri where did u get the solutions from?
This is what the forum people(admins) used to post on the simulators thread back when it was active. I just copied from there and saved it only to realise they are making me anxious and ignored them for the good later. :P@chamomile this much high cutoffs in simulators.. are they according to number of students giving or in general
People commenting whether it was easier or tougher than the previous test,Me, who got same marks(~88) in both- ^_^On a serious not can 88 be considered a good and safe score considering mocks are designed differently than actual UPSC papers?
look don’t get disheartened by your performance at this time and instead focus on revision and improvement. If it helps or is of any significance: i was consistently scoring in 88-95 range before my first attempt in 2019 and yet i managed to score 4 marks above cutoff in actual exams.
Also, on the topic of open mocks, EdSarrthi open mock is good at first the questions seem vague but can be eliminated with common sense unlike most of the mocks.
Paper was easy. Options in some questions were not clear. It looked as if some new guy is setting up the question paper, which is true to some extent.
Scoring 116 in today's paper. I honestly did not expect to score this much because I found the paper difficult.
What would I not give to score these many marks on the actual day of the exam.. *sighs*.
Meanwhile, I solved the shankar ias open test few days ago and absolutely loved it. I highly highly recommend you guys to solve that paper. Very very close to how upsc paper is framed.
@HeNeArKr Is there a PDF available or can only be given on their portal?
Idk bro gave it on the portal.
I gave mock today as per the ideal simulated environment which I had faced in 2020 attempt of UPSC and other exams. My ideal scenario -
1. Less than 4 hours of sleep
2. Exam hall located at the top most floor with sun rays glaring on my face
3. Invigilators discussing how their neighbor eloped with another caste boy
4. Just like Interstellar movie where every "clock ticking" on miller's planet was extended to 1.25 seconds as to how time flies, I did the same as every 1 second in the exam becomes 1.25 there also.
Damn, It felt so much like UPSC real examination :|

one reason why It was easier because some questions/concepts were already covered in SFG.
PS: I was part of SFG L3
@root Is Forum IAS going to conduct any more Simulator Open Tests before prelims?

So I tried these in the CSAT paper. and now I know why the real exam is so mentally exhausting.
Used this for the inviligators chirping.
Perfect checklist!
