Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Good morning dosto ..
Slept my heart out last night..
Woke up to beautiful messages from you all... Perfect start to push myself . Yesterday was just a nonsense rant from my side ... Just needed a break I guess. .. Let's start today with some decent targets.8/8/21
- Vision IAS Abhyaas
- Finish active recall till partition of bengal
- Geography revision till climatology
- October-November 2020 ca
Guess who had an extremely sh***y day.. Gave the abhyaas test and revised geography for an hour.
One of the worst days... Honestly, nothing to even add to it now..
Going to bed a bit frustrated and angry at myself today.
Sorry if this irritates anyone... :(
Night!!!
Good morning guys, I realised that I forgot to update last night, but didn’t manage to do much because I had to go out in a rather unplanned manner. Spontaneous trips outside for unavoidable work are a thing of the past now. So I just managed to finish ancient india and Sept C/A. But I’m glad for the one sow day, which allowed me to rest and catch up on sleep :)
Targets for 8.8.21:
Medieval India morning slot
Indian geography
October 2020 C/A
PSIR- slot
CSAT
Daily C/A
That’s it for the day folks!
@sjerngal there are people who’ve said it much better than me here but really its not worth focusing on things like age and commensurate achievements. Some people achieve a lot “physically” by the age of 25 but others aren’t “seen” to be doing much, it doesn’t mean that we aren’t growing. A lot of our growth and evolution is happening internally, so just because we cant see it now against a measurable standard doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. A coconut when it floats in the ocean grows the new sapling inside it till the time it reaches the land. The moment it reaches a shore the shell splits open and there’s a baby tree inside it. Till then the coconut shell keeps it protected from the salt water and other dangers. We are like coconuts, even though it feels like we’re floating endlessly, we are still growing and changing. We are tough and able to weather storms, my friend :)
So I didn’t complete geography or touch PSIR at all. This was just one of those days where I really had to push myself. I recorded 7.5 hours on YPT but they weren’t maximum output hours. I know for a fact there were times when I’ve just read and re-read sentences because my mind just couldn’t figure out words. Going to bed early in the hope that it is some sort of reset for tomorrow. The coconut macaroon signs off.

Yummy! Nothing more gives that satisfying dopamine rush than striking down those targets written on the chit pad. Felt that 2018-esque thing. Wasn't able to do Locke but rest done almost everything.

Between 9:30 and 1:30- GS
1:30- 7:30- College Classes

@THE_MECHANIC Dhayaan rakho apna bhai.
Shubh Ratri doston!
@sjerngal Do a thing on my insistence- When you wake up this morning, do take a walk in the corridor of your home. Talk to your own self. Introspect about what you did today and what you ought to do tomorrow. Plan and plan well. Don't be hard. Sab theek hoga.
Starting a new sub-thread (if you can call it that) because the plan for prelims is ready and tomorrow is going to be Day 1! Still need to be done with optional, so this is going to be the last week for that. Same with Vision CA magazines. Will try to be more accountable here from now on.
Targets: 9-10 Hours
- SFG Tests Revision: Polity Finish (2) + Physical Geography (4)
- Finish Vision May CA
- Revise Physical Geography

Sorry, was off throughout yesterday.
Had an exam for a full day. later on, I was enjoying my me-time in KFC alone, contemplating that this corn used in the wing strips can be bought from farmers directly, implementing the "Farm to Fork" idea of MoSPI in a real sense.
@Archand Good luck and welcome!
@nerdfighter It hit me hard too when I realised that I will be too "old" next year to be eligible for UPSC - CAPF. But no issue, their loss ;)
@sstarrr Thanks to Johannes Vetter!
@sjerngal Bro we are UPSC aspirants! We are fighters, we are Spartans. Lets not allow 1 or 2 days to decide our potential and fate.
I have been not able to give my best since last few week hence I am trying out to publicly post my targets from today.

I had to delete my YPT app with a heavy heart guys, its been making my device really glitchy and it keeps crashing all my apps. Let me see if it gets any better after deleting the app, I’ll miss using it but keep clocking your impressive hours guys :)
Today begins with another day of pathetic mock score and baggage of yesterday's missed targets. Just difficult to make loved ones understand that Sunday is not so free day for (forever) aspirants. And the syllabus is not just pre-graduation school syllabus. #EmotionOutburst.

I have been feeling the same. Except for the Test 1 I feel that other tests weren't that difficult but I am scoring consistently low marks and I have started doubting my preparation which is good to some extent. In previous SFGs I used to score decent and now the scores I am getting are highly demotivating. Probable reasons of pathetic performance can be:
1) I am not able to revise the complete syllabus given for the day.
2) I am able to eliminate 2 options and in case of 50-50 the option I choose becomes the incorrect one which is because of point no 1 ( indicating depreciating conceptual clarity)
3) not enough conceptual clarity because I am revising from the notes which I made in previous attempt. I feel that firstly I should read from my main source and then look into the notes (but there is time constraint).
Struggle is real yaar!
Anyway, I have chosen it hence I have to do it.

I am not a FOMO person. But YPT seems too tempting.
