@Shailputri I am assuming the court must have declared in its order that "free and fair elections" are fundamental to democracy/our polity or something on the similar lines that would have established f&fe as a part of the BS. Other than that, you could argue that since KH92 prima facie reduced the scope of arbitrariness in the speaker's decision to disqualify reps of the people and also provided a mechanism to appeal against her orders (judicial review, that is), it upheld the sanctity of free and fair elections. Elected reps that eventually determines the government were set free of speaker's whims. Hence, elections rescued.

It has to be passed. Rs does not have much say, but nevertheless there is no bill that can be passed by one single house alone.  So, even if for the name sake, Rs has to pass the bill.

@Archand You are right. The wrong part here is 'in interest of state authority'. Anything like 'vulnerable sections/ society' in place of 'state authority' would've made this option correct too IMO.

Ah yes, of course. That makes sense. Thanks!

@necromancer I agree. The term 'automatic stabilizer' has been mentioned in economy pt365 in the glossary table. However, how does bond price not act as a stabilizer ? Won't the lower rates offered during boom period prevent excess flow of money and hence prevent unpredictability or provide stability ?

A que on order of precedence was asked in 2004..(back then Upsc used to ask a lot of factual stuff)... That is why test series include questions like this.

Bas ab apni apni shraddha ke hisaab se dekh lo ki Kitna padhna hai air Kitna chodhna hai.

Even though the Rajya sabha does not have the power to amend/reject money bill it can suggest amendments, it is upto Lok Sabha whether they accept it or not, and the Bill "deemed to be passed" by both the houses in the form of Lok Sabha.

@Apollo11 but bond prices aren’t ‘automatic’ in that sense. Bond prices depend on interest rates which are controlled through the monetary policy.

@necromancer Oh, right. Thanks. I will keep in mind the invisible hand isn't actually automatic.

Laxmikant-- " The federation is a Union, because it is indestructible ". From this statement I thought answer should be "D" but according to SFG test, answer is B.. Wanted to know whether given answer is incorrect or not

Explanation from SFG test : A federal state is a fusion of several states into a single State in regard to matters related to common interests. Both the federal and state governments draw their authority from the Constitution. In such a federation, a component state has no right to secede from the federation at its will. This feature distinguishes a federation from a confederation

The answer is given in Laxmikanth too. India doesn't have a federal system and that's why Article 2 or 3 can be used to alter the boundary/area/name of the states =>Not indestructible.

Only when they are indestructible, there can be federation doctrine being established in a country.
However, the correct sentence should have been "union of indestructible states"

Article 2/3 pertain to the nature of states and not the union as a whole. Remember “indestructible union of destructible states”. India is a federation.

SC says it is binding, but in one of the Forum Simulators, the answer was not binding.
