@Newton981jab log borrow kam krega toh money multiply kese hoga.
Monetary policy transmission works both ways , if rate on deposits increase then banks will increase loan rate as well to keep their profit intact. What explanation have they given in the test?

No - an increase in the supply of credit will reduce interest rates while a decrease in the supply of credit will increase interest rates.

@TabsAndChords membership changed from tropical countries to all UN members. I'm not sure about this but voting rights are still with tropical countries only.

I read that Desi Ghee contains transfats. My parents make Desi Ghee at home. Is it really unhealthy??? I thought it is safer than the Ghee that we buy from the market.

Even by their explanation the answer should be (a). They messed up b/w cdr & deposit rates..

Your home made ghee is definitely better than market because high adulteration in ghee, as demand is rising much faster than supply.

Even though ghee has trans fat which seems to have no benefit and is harmful, but percentage is only 1-2%. Trans fat will be there in any animal product, even the meat if u eat it. There are other advantages of fat, as against the earlier fad of fat is only bad.

Trans fat is primarily an issue with hydrogenated oils (vanaspati ghee) which have 25-45% trans fat and rises on reheating.

Keep eating ur homemade ghee, it will do u more good than any harm.

This PYQ says 'booth capturing ' is defined in constitution. Can anyone verify this? I couldn't find anything to support this.

I crosschecked this question in two places and both say (b) as the answer. 61st CA is generally known to decrease the voting age to 18 usme ye booth capturing kaha se aya?

Statement one is definitely wrong. Booth capturing is nowhere even mentioned in the constitution as well as the 61st CAA let alone be defined.

This is the 61st CAA-

Statement of Objects and Reasons appended to the Constitution (Sixty-second Amendment) Bill, 1988 (Bill No. 129 of 1988) which was enacted as THE CONSTITUTION (Sixty-first Amendment) Act, 1988

STATEMENT OF OBJECTS AND REASONS

Article 326 of the Constitution provides that the elections to the House of the People and to the Legislative Assembly of every State shall be on the basis of adult suffrage, that is to say, a person should not be less than 21 years of age. It has been found that many of the countries have specified 18 years as the voting age. In our country some of the State Governments have adopted 18 years of age for elections to the local authorities. The present-day youth are literate and enlightened and the lowering of the voting age would provide to the unrepresented youth of the country an opportunity to give vent to their feelings and help them become a part of the political process. The present-day youth are very much politically conscious. It is, therefore, proposed to reduce the voting age from 21 years to 18 years.

2. The Bill seeks to achieve the above object.

NEW DELHI; B SHANKARANAND.

The 9th December, 1988.

THE CONSTITUTION (SIXTY-FIRST AMENDMENT) ACT, 1988

[28th March, 1989.]

An Act further to amend the Constitution of India.

BE it enacted by Parliament in the Thirty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Constitution (Sixty-first Amendment) Act, 1988.

2. Amendment of article 326.-In article 326 of the Constitution, for the words "twenty-one years", the words "eighteen years" shall be substituted.

Booth capturing is nowhere mentioned in the constitution too.

@chamomile True. Booth capturing is given as one of the electoral offences in RPA 1951.

In addition to this pdf a PYQ book has also given (b) as answer. So I just wanted to confirm. Anyways thanks bhai.

What is the differance between ' Sensitive non personal data' and ' critical non personal data'?

Not completely sure. Relating to general meaning of the term sensitive = health records or SECC caste data, critical = relevant to national security

They are short lived. They have a lifetime of around 15 to 30 years.

But when banks buy SLR, banks give money to the govt , if govt spends money, there would be increase in money supply.

I am not sure how will that work because these both are opposing actions and there are chances that this might lead to increase in Money supply.

SLR requires banks to keep money in the form of cash, gold and securities. The intent of increasing SLR is to reduce money supply. So while theoretically you are right that if banks buy govt. bonds and govts. spend that money there would be an increase in money supply but practically this would never happen since it would defeat the purpose of increasing SLR. Also, the government wouldn't actually immediately get that money either since it would be the RBI that is selling the securities and so that revenue would be with the RBI right?
