On what basis is the cutoff declared?

In the context of the Constitution of India, which one of the following would you accept as the most appropriate for definition of social justice?

a Universal adult franchise
b Equality of outcomes
c Proportionate equality
d Democratic equality

How to go about questions like these? I can't seem to choose the correct option among b,c and d.

@Steph_Curry  I go for the chain method. Like indirectly or directly each option will provide social justice ultimately, but which is nearest to the chain will be the answer.
I solve that way and most of the time it is correct.

Select Focus Test #9 | Polity

Correct Answer : c

14) With reference to the Governor of a State, consider the following statements.

1. The office of Governor of a State is under the Constitutional control of the Central Government.

2. As per the Constitution, the Governor cannot be given consecutive terms in the same state State.

3. As per the Constitution, the President can appoint the same person as Governor for two or more States.

Which of the statements given above is/are incorrect?

a 1 only
b 2 and 3 only
c 1 and 3 only
d 1, 2 and 3

Explanation

Exp) Statement 1 is correct - Article 155 - The Governor of the State is appointed by the President with warrant under his hand and seal. This and various other provisions of the Constitution like article 200 etc makes control of the centre over Governor firm.

Statement 2 is incorrect - The Constitution has not forbidden the President from giving two consecutive terms to the Governor. Hence the Governor can enjoy consecutive terms if the President of India permits.

Statement 3 is correct - Article 153 - There shall be Governor for each State: Provided that nothing in this article shall prevent the appointment of the same person as Governor for two or more States.

The question is asking for the incorrect statement, however the correct answer as per the key is C.

I'm confused!

I'm confused!

It seems that there was a mistake in framing this question. You are right. Statement 1 and 3 are correct and 2 is incorrect. The question should have asked to identify the correct statement instead of incorrect. Thanks for identifying this mistake from our side.

@Thinker there are some question which differentiates between original provision and provision added by amendment ...here the 3rd provision was added by 7th amendment , it  was not part of the constitution so shouldn't that be wrong?
