Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.

@sat_009going by trends in other exams, ews cut off is lower than even st category. I think it is because of lesser number of candidates applying/qualifying for ews quota. So, prima facie, it may have impact this time around.
Bhai ache All India Level exams me EWS cut off may go above obc but less than Gen(ex- SBI PO).. ST cate se kamm gen regional level exams me gaye, esp in states jahan certi banana is difficult

No one knows who gets how many marks for what question, no body knows does diagram fetch marks, no one has seen how their answers have been evaluated. All toppers do is hypotethical connecting of the dots. Ultimately the evaluator and god is the king, so better pray now to god and force him change your luck, it is the most important thing after you have attempted all the questions and its only him can push your score from 100 to 120 and essay to 150. Visit as many shrines especially the general candidate students, who can loose the race in nano seconds.

So other than shrines is there any other options ?

Provide inputs for calculation/estimation of marks.
For gs and essay.
Like what constitute an average answer and corresponding marks. What's above average marks and exceptional marks.
Provide some objective criteria If possible as all think their answer as perfect. TIA

@sat_009that makes sense. Let me put my second dilemma, so my optional paper2 is giving me sleepless nights as it didn't go well for me. However, past experience shows that there is not much of variation in marks.
2017: p1-140 (paper went good) p2: 136 (paper was considerably below expectations)
Another acquintance's: p1- 125 (paper went good) p2: 119 (only 210 marks attempted and other answers also below average).
this has put me in a quandary as to how optional marking works..anybody with more experience is invited to explain this..
@Rand_Al_Thori know one place in delhi, you have to go there and do pooja. Its in a prime location. In Dholpur house. UPSC building
