Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.

@Kira0705Yes, which group? postmains2019 doesn't have any such info.
This respond was to prepone case hearing on 6th January 2019
I had passed my B.TECH from tier 3 engineering college in 2018. I was preparing for civil services exam during my college days ,but due to family pressure i decided to go for a backup since June 2018.Since then I had qualified Railway technician (joining awaited), SBI PO 2019 and had reached till tier 3 of ssc cgl 2018 (wasn't able to give tier 3 since i caught severe fever a day before....also my marks till tier 2 was just 475 so no hope for 4200 grade post). Now going to join SBI PO on 6th january 2020. But again that buried desire is popping up and i want to restart my preparation. So my ques is
1)How should i proceed with sbi po job (if any po can guide me)?
2)Should i directly go for Civil services or for ssc and then UPSC?
3)Should i prepare for state PCS and settle down there?
@dks2020PO is well to do job in itself, UPSC is going downrail as institution. Even then if you want to be part of it then just prepare for upsc and nothing in between. You're already earning and have social respect.
@rakz28thanks

CAT order is here and tomorrow it will decide for preponement hearing of case on 6th January
U certain that this case is related to EWS issue?
@dks2020I am working as a PO in PSB since 2018, I too started since college though at snails' pace just read a few books. Appeared in UPSC mains this year. Though with job it's bit tough but it's manageable. On daily basis you have to give 3-4 hours atleast to studies. Rest many things depends upon your place of posting. And then you can avail leaves for prelims and mains. Go for without pay even if needed. Rest everyone has a different mindset. Some people think they can prepare well devoting full time others feel more disciplined while in job. So you may have to take your call. For me I felt it's better for me to prepare while in job it gives sense of security .
Banking...SSC...UPSC this path might be a long one. So directly jump for UPSC and state PCS (if syllabus is similar which usually is) . You might face some difficulty in first attempt while managing. But then it becomes bit easier
What if a corrupt arrangement benefits everyone?
I once went to a local elec. office. Now they had these forms for different types of work. Now there was a middleman who used to come at a designated time outside the office, took a nominal charge(Rs30,40) and filled the form for the people(most of whom were semi-literates or workers in some rich house). This was 2013 and e-gov was not the buzz. Yes, they could have made the forms easy, but they got ir from the 'top'. Now,
- The people:happy(by paying a small amount there forms would be filled correctly and work be done)
- Staff:happy(correct forms, extra earnings)
- Middleman:Happy
This was uptown Lucknow and there would be plenty of such offices in the district alone. Now, how would you solve this problem?
Pour in your thoughts comrades.
@Ibadatthanks
@CaesarMany posts in govt offices are filled on a contract basis and its whole responsibility lie on the shoulders of a DM. In a similar fashion a contract basis post should be formed (similar to relationship officers) by hiring those middlemen.A fixed rate for all type of forms will cater the need of the middlemen as well as the neddy persons and DM can regulate them also.
What an irony that EWS quota wale ek candidate ka vakil Salman Khursid hai (one of the most expensive lawyer of country)!!!

Plain Writing Act on the lines of US one. also a startup opportunity , there are already some firms that help get pan cards. common sevice centres can be utilized for handholding purpose

@CaesarClassic Indian culture of administration!
In my opinion, two things could be done. Firstly, a more user-friendly interface. Eg- Forms in regional languages + less complicated. In addition to this, appointment of a specially designated helper for filling out the forms by the departments.
I think doing away with middlemen would not be addressed by digitising services alone given poor digital literacy. It could be addressed only by replacing them with "state-appointed middlemen" (If I may use the word) and then, going for digitisation slowly.
