Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.
@paranthapijjait can hve many dimensions.. anti defection is one of it....parliamentary privileges not codified-->MPs misusing it ...other dimensions are parliamentary privileges itself eg narasimha rao episode -->bribe for vote against no confidence motion...jharkhand mukti morcha case where parl privileges enabled corruption leading immunity of MPs(bribe takers)... horse trading (defection politics)...no adherence to code of conduct and code of ethics by MPs...criminalisation etc.... no defined answer..many would hve focussed on some parts which is good enough for GS
@paranthapijjaall would hve written it in two parts..first where in involves decline of individuals.... second would be how this has lead to decline in proceedings..with a way forward
I have kept focused to criminalisation and ADL alongwith other basic points regarding lack of quality debates@ranyo_asoka
@Minimumwagebro there is no defined answers..all are points leading to decline ...its good as well...whatever u wrote, justify it thats all
@Vickoo_MatreService sector Economics sense me hi hai lekin usko governance point of view se likhna hai;people's collaboration being the core..
@pravinshinde3592958Conclusion and 'Way Forward' are overrated , unwanted response of coachings to enforce a structure which they think fetches marks. It doesn't matter much imho , if you have enough content. Just one or two liner wrap ups are sufficient to work as conclusion. As you said, 150-250 words answer me conclusion kaha se itna bada likh payenge.
Do the 'toppers' write specific answers for questions? I found 10 markers in GS 3 very specific in their requirement like:
- Enumerating indirect taxes (could list 5)
- National watershed project - how many would have mentioned neeranchal? Importance of watershed and generic points all would have written..
- Specific cases of coastal sand mining
- Types of vulnerability as physical, economic social etc.
Aisa log hote hain Jo ye Saab questions main bhi acha likhte Hai?
@foxmulderthats the reason why none of the coachings follow word limit while giving their model ans
I would suggest everyone to stop bothering about what they would have done and start focusing on what to do now. Keeping in view this years paper anyone who have appeared in mains should stay optimistic and start working on their personality.
Anyhow UPSC is all about that, a new reformed individual in thought as well as appearance.
Those who are preparing for 2020 mains, it they are willing to be a part of toppers recommended answer writting programme they may contact..

In my opinion that is the biggest challenge, keeping everything you know to the word limit as specified@Shubz
@ranyo_asokaoh! Thanks for taking up my query. I didn't really explore many dimensions in that question. Most of my answer was a regurgitation and paraphrase of an article by MR Madhavan of PRS and one by Manish Tewari.
@Lostmany write write whatever they know rather than what is being asked.
@foxmulderStructure has to be always according to the question. Intro sub-headings for each part that question demands, conclusion. Absolutely no need to shove a "way forward" where it is not asked.
@K_9completely agree with the 'no need for way forward where it isn't asked' approach. I don't know why such ideas are peddled in the aspirants' consciousness.
