Guys, Essay Paper is over. How was it?
As a Non hindi person, I have clear disadvantage with the exam.@deepakY aaapko hindi translation ek baar padh lena chahiye tha.
I got this lesson from my father. He said that you might attempt the paper in English but you will always be more comfortable with hindi. so if you ever get stuck in understanding the question, try reading hindi version and you may understand the core demand of the question. very nice lesson.

That can happen. Last year in prelims ->Vijaynagar "Soothsaying" question I got wrong because , I can't read hindi version where it mentioned "Bhavishyavani".
In an exam where 1 mark determine many ranks and in out of prelims list ->this is a genuine concern.
Few years ago, there was this mains gs1 question "cryosphere "question. Many didnt know what cryosphere was. But those who read hindi version addressed that mains question effectively.

Jo non-Hindi hai, unko bhi kahi kahi advantage milta hai, toh kul milakar sab cancel out ho jaata hai.....if one is interpreting right as entitlement, then he/she must think about the simpler meaning.....waise bhi essay ko ethics ke paper ki tarah lena hota hai.....especially B section ko...........ab toh khair UPSC a section essay me bhi philosphical question puchhta hai.....even forest wala essay bhi kai log galat likhe honge....jabki wo philosophical essay tha...........(survival of the fittest, punctuality, ecological niche.....etc etc)

bhai main kya bolu. its absolutely disgusting. infact main hindi nai padha tha essay chose karte time. ye topic immediately samajh aa gaya. but agar main ise choose karta without knowing hindi tab toh pakka phas jata main. not because i dont know hindi but because of applying too much mind.

Essay paper discuss karne par itne saare interpretation saamne aa rahe hai....mai toh paper checker ki soch raha...wo hamare essays padhta hoga toh ethical dilemma me rahata hoga......huminatrian leniency aur Objective strict scoring ko lekar....

upsc case studies word use toh kiya tha English me...lekin hindi me word pratiman use kiya tha jiska meaning hota hai model..... toh uss essay me philosphically ye show karna tha ki kya kya lesson forest se milte hai jo economic excellence ki taraf le jaate hai....

Hindi has equal respect as other languages. But can a state of up or bihar has station name in Tamil or Telugu. The answer is no. So why in south. The fight is for equality, not hatred against language. Respect is a two way street.
@deepakY bro mujhe UPSC me essay kaise likhna hai aj tak samjha nahi. I have maintained essay as per GMAT guide.Started essay with NOKIA case study, ek time baap tha, did everything write, but failed. In fact ceo of Nokia roya ye bol k.. hum sab sahi kare par , Lanka lag gayi.Phir cheda vivad, apke hisab se chize sahi hogi. Par vo galat hoti hai..Mai ecological view diya. For example kisi ko agniveerr 2.0 😁sahi lag raha ho.. par vo jaruri nahi india me sahi ho ( agniveer na likha mai bas bata raha idea)Phir choices ko decision se link kiya.. kaise banks k executive choices nahi lete.. because ki baad me media and CVC se bache..aur vo economy affect kar rahe.At even nHAI ke executive ko nitin gadkari sahab gali mare, for not taking decisions.Decision or choice hona jaruri hai.. chahe ho galat ho ya sahi.. decisions hi admi and institutions banate..Agar hum decision and choice rakhne se dare.. to kabhi koi decisions na hoge..Conclusion take decisions you should be proud of rather it's outcome...choice may be wrong but choices are necessary.Ye bas idea hai...itna ganda na likha mai..meri bhawna samaj jao.. ye bas idea line samaj lo..Ab ispe 80 marks mile ya 58/2 😅Meko ghanta farak na padta..
aise kaise analyse kar paate ho aap log deviate hoke main line se..........essay me simple ye tha ki choices kaafi hote hai , lekin ye jaruri nhi hai ki unme se koi na koi sahi ho hi..........toh isme means, ends, circumstances beyond control ye sab likhna tha.......IMO
@Capedcrusader1 non hindi wale ko answers likhte time jyada nhi sochna padta hai...non-hindi states ke bache english me kaafi quickly produce kar paate hai thoughts ko...aur market me material ki quality english language ki kaafi achhi hai..

There is no difference in hindi, non hindi people in terms of thought process or writing in English.
