@toooldtodieyoung No key is reliable. A lot of people have been losing 10-15 marks from vision's key as well in the last 2 years

no body can ban me from forum ias

I know you are clowning here and I don’t know the reason but I find your behaviour really concerning. Please get help. It’s not normal. Specially on a platform like this. If people do this on Instagram or tiktok its understandable. They may have low IQ or just really jobless with no drive or no goal , but why you?? Just a suggestion. We women aren’t so worthless after all.

He is a troll trying to get youtube views.he is using negative publicity as a way to get it .

Well then that's the worst advertising strategy in the history of advertising strategies. I didn't even know there was a channel involved.

Last year scored around 100.33 from Vision Key but in the real mark sheet, it was only 90.47. Hope this does not happen this year.

@WayneRooney ideally seems like you should breeze through. If you don't mind me asking, where there large number of controversial questions last year too ? and how does it compare to this year ?

@toooldtodieyoung Last year I attempted lot of controversial questions like Desher Katha, Science and technology questions, Qualification for elections. Additionally, I was not very well prepared in terms of practice. Last year I use to score around  80 -100 in my mocks.

This year I felt I was very well prepared as in mock tests I was scoring in the range of 100 - 150 but still I found the paper very very difficult. This year In most of the controversial questions, either I have attempted it wrong for sure like In the Indus river question I have marked Jhelum so I know it is definitely wrong or the questions if it answers gets changed will affect everyone like the Magnetite particle question for which I have marked d.

@WayneRooney but this year more doubtful Qs as compare to last year... yet not settled

last year doubtful was 1. AI 2. Preamble 3. Deshar-katha 4. A person who eligible to vote can be made a minister in a state for six months -- as i recall

dekho you are not supposed to know everything. skip bhavbhuti or babaji ki booty  type question. but yadavas are a prominent midieval dynasty. so if you remove yadavas you get answer.

a good reading of r s sharma ancient and satish chandra medeival both ncert is fine

@toooldtodieyoung  lots of silent such q were there
1. application of ai , wireless electricity and meaningful stories is wrong
2. 6 month vote minister one, option a is wrong
3. india actully enjoyed current account surplus so that one went wrong for many
i cant remember but there were 2-3 more such questions. last time all of us had absolute blessings of coaching instutuins and so we didi not realise it as a result everyone got atleast 3 questions wrong in final key 3*(2+(2/3)) = 8
but many made more such errors

@Rambo93 dont think your coaching score is always gonna be 10 marks less than in actual. in 2020 all coaching insstitutions made common mistake like not saying india enjoyed trade surplus in international rtade etc. this year only 2 doubtful auestions rest are all factual so enjoy

Yeah, all the doubtful questions you are mentioning for last year except a person who is eligible to vote, I considered them right according to answer keys of coaching institutes while calculating my score.

This year in controversial questions like:

1) Right To City (I have marked c but still doubtful)

2) Pressure Cooker ( I have marked d which is definitely wrong)

3) Virus and synthetic medium (I have marked d which I think is wrong)

4) Indus River (I marked Jhelum which is definitely wrong)

5) Reservation for Women (I have marked b but still doubtful)

6) Magnetite Particle (I have marked d; the answer could be b or d)

7) Copper Smelting (I have marked d which I think is wrong)

8) Casual Worker (Not Attempted)

9) Indian & British Democracy (I have marked c which is correct according to most keys including Shubra Ranjan ma'am but still doubtful)

Last year i was in minority for these questions and my finals marks were more than that by coaching keys

I had read about bhavbhuti only fleetingly while reading about post Harsha period at the time of Mihir Bhoj controversy. I could attend deva Raya 2 qsn and qsn about devgiri and Vijayanagar because just before prelims I was reading Rebel Sultan by manu Pillai and that gave me confidenxe to attempt the qsn otherwise I would have straight away skipped. Upsc always reward extra reading that you do not for the purpose of exam but as a leisure activity.

Disclaimer - Views are personal and may suffer from bias due to getting those qsns correct.
