[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?

This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.

Man, the positive vibe, humour, and positivity of this thread pre-Prelims has been messed up so so bad

Have been a silent spectator and a genuine beneficiary of this thread. But now, it’s just prelims, cutoffs, research papers :/

@beginn371316 bhai, constitution clearly provides for judicial review! wo toh basic structure hain. SC invented Basic structure but kept things in constitution in basic structure only not the outside things of constitution. So basic structure in invented by SC not in Constitution. Judicial Review is in constitution and SC shields or protects it by keeping it in basic structure. simple as that.

Is the judicial review question’s answer B ?

I took basic structure as correct. I focussed more on *in terms of* .. and statement seems correct in general reading.

Now , Upsc knows only. Deducted 2.67 for this also already.

Judicial review is also not explicitly written if we go by law of verbatims.

Constitution *provides* ... Yes it provides.

Constitution defines ... Sounds dubious now.

Is anyone in touch with experienced students who cleared mains last year ..how much do they r getting ...I have seen many friends that due to hesitation they r not admitting ki they r scoring below 90 marks .... I may not b true but aisa lag rha hai ki ek sannata hai sabke Man mein .. suddenly everyone is saying ki exam June mei hi hai waise bhi 2021 Ka so let s see

One rank holder getting 130, other rank holder 92, one who gave interview getting 104, other two giving interview in 80s. However sample is non representative.

Students before exam----

1- reading spectrum, laxmikant, lucent, vision pt, gist of hindu etc etc

Students after exam giving reference( to convince other for their answers)---

1-oxford/harvard's text book, MIT university research papers, Tesla's experiment aur harappa se nikle documents jo decipher bhi ni hue:joy::joy:

Would like to add directly contacting Election Commissioner and the Club of Rome.

It is quite obvious. I am not surprised.

Paper was like...

Najar hati ..Durghatna ghati !!

So .. Most of log ki najar Hati hai and now we are feeling pain. There are only few who may be able to spot beyond the gimmicks in questions.

Not only this one ... You may find few other questions which you may have done wrong due to just dubious use of english in questions.

However, I cant vouch .. but will be surprised if basic structure wala will go correct.

He said it was like do or die for him with very less hopes as he was busy with UP-PSC mains preparation/exam till just a week before prelims. He attempted 97 questions and getting 114

Cut off 100% Same hi rahega 97-98! almost same as last year.

because tukke baaji mein overall luck always remains same in any field. Its law of conservation of energy. balances always just like in 2018-19.

Individual luck may vary but on a whole overall luck will be same.

Article 32 debates as per book "cornerstone of nation by godwin Austin "clearly mentions Ambedkar views on inclusion of judicial review as per USA and in article 13 and Article 32 there is a concept of judicial review ....in the constitution there is provision of judicial review but it's the supreme court which has time and again elaborated this and made judicial review as basic structure of constitution...however basic structure concept is not given originally in constitution and hence second  is correct

The word PROVIDES makes all that correct.

The word DEFINES makes all first wrong. Hitherto, It would be PROVIDES for statement 1 .. that may also be correct then. The word DEFINE is now difficult to DEFINE now.

@Equalizer Gandhi Irwin Delete nahi karega. I don't think so. Every year something happens with translation.
Preamble is very much debatable. A or D. I marked C :D But A ka chances jyaada hain.
If it's a part of constitution and if it is not justiciable strictly and as mentioned in Laxmikanth - Then It should be A. baaki coaching waala v sahi reason de nahi paa rahe hain.

SC kya bola bhai? Kaha bola only dependent on others hi hain nahi toh koi legal effect nahi bolke? Its all speculation. but lets see.
If its a part why it shouldnot have any legal effect if any one deletes somepart without affecting basic structure? means no body can approach court if something happens to preamble only?
If u apply rules stricly then its A. non justificiable.

If Gandhi irwin is not deleted everyone would be awarded marks. It's the same thing.

In preamble question IMO legality is not synonyms with justiciability, it can be used by the court to decide constitutionality of legislation. This is what I understood. Rest upsc is boss.

If legal effect is not synonyms with Justiciability ... Then .. Option C is most appropriate.

Otherwise .. I go for D.

Exactly same thing happened with me too Bro! I can sense your dilemma. Moreover, first option going wrong added to the woes and I thought that UPSC is playing along the same lines in 2nd option too!
