[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?

This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.

Guys, I’m someone who always cleared prelims (5), and also mains(5), and 3 time’s recommended by USPC (currently in Service). I’ve never seen so much confusion and disorder after a UPSC prelims, except a couple of questions here and there. I think we should get over this asap. Best wishes!!

Sir , it happens every single year .In 2017 , there was a similar discussion on Right to Vote , DPSP and limitations ,Butterfly one ,Horse of Indus Valley ,Some question on soil salinity and gypsum type, Cabinet form of government and many more .People even approached Supreme Court with prelims' questions (although their petition was rejected ).There was similar chaos in subsequent years (I cant come up with exact questions because I was pretty much offline during those 2 years ).So, this post prelim chaos is  nothing new.

@Masum_Ladka My suggestion is if u start preparing as if u were appearing for mains 2020 then u would complete the syllabus and then U can start prelims from jan if not selected in prelims

I second your word. Though not recommended but faced interview twice. I too have same observations.

Paper seem to be easy at home .. like isme to kuch bhi nahi tha. But .. In exam hall, It was like machine gun firing the bullets and  you are just taking cover here and there by some correct markings, some good guessing by peripheral knowledge , some tukkas and some wild guesses at end. Some simple questions (seemingly simple at home) were messed up my many people during exam hall pressure. So,. I think most of people are. in the raange of 105 to 90 and cut off will be somewhere around 90 to 95.

Thanks.

Totally agree with analysis of both of you. Though never cleared mains, cleared prelims thrice. For general anyone getting 92 from any single institute has high chance of clearing, for OBC 90, SC 78, ST 75, EWS 91. QUESTIONS required deep knowledge.

Hello all,i need a suggestion.this was my last attempt. Prims facie my score looks good though in the heat of things I forgot to mark answers in my question booklet so cannot get a clear idea on score. What would you suggest? I am well prepared for mains. Should I start studying for mains or wait for results? What will be the tentative date for result?

After results you will hardly have time to study so better study from now onwards and if not selected solve papers of mains examination on the day of exam itself at home in real time ...it will help u

@Resav_Singh in rural economy People engaged in agriculture reduced, But people engaged in allied activities like Retail, Farm mechanisation Poultry, Aquaculture, etc is increased. MNREGA also provided employment to volunteers..as per entire rural is concerned, yes employment growth increased after LPG as general....if we talk particularly agri, it nt increased.
ab UPSC dekho kya bolta.
