@Naadan_Parinda upsc has aready discarded online proposal...also they have hinted towards holding exam this year only... ..also prelim is a 1-day affair ,if university exams can happen then this can too ....and where will the buck stop...people are talking about 2nd wave , god forbid if there is a 3rd wave,would that mean permanent delay ? oc not ..govt has already realised that lockdown is not the solution . by end of this month flights will start too...brace for prelims announcement by next month.
Buck stops with the government. If I get sick due to a government held exam or worse still, my 92 year old grandpa gets sick because of me, I'll be calling my lawyers. And yes, waves make all the difference. 3rd wave won't come until next year and after vaccines come out I don't care how many waves corona comes in, we can have exams and reopen the economy fully. Until then don't ask people "to live with it." It is like condemning our elderly population to their graves. Why are you comparing this with spanish flu? It killed 17-50 million people. So we should not complain if Corona kills 10 million people now? Because what happened in the past, we should be ready to accept what is happening now?

You wouldn't know the consequences of people gathering in front of alcohol shops or those travelling by trains until later. Secondly, that is a conjecture by the author that if renewables are taken up too early, it can lead to inefficient subsidies for technology that is not ready. But it doesn't mean government is actually today giving such inefficient and costly subsidies. And that too "often". Such extreme words are rarely correct when it comes to upsc.

I was talking about the PQRS largest waala question not the relationship one. Confusion is between C and D.
When they are using P Q R and S as symbols for numbers ..it implies the numbers/symbols are distinct and not equal..hence it is C

@Raja123 Aurang keys seems to be quite close to be infallible...however i personally feel that 85% agri answer is wrong..... Answer should be B..... someone pointed out that newspaper article talks about agri value chain... But its not mentioned in passage.... And we have to answer only according to things mentioned in passage only..... On the other hand high global agri prices are mentioned.....shankar and CL also gave answer B.. . Rest all the answers of Aurang are right and match with how UPSC thinks in passages
Haha. Then for genome editing answer would be B because the passage does not talk about transfer of genes from one plant to another or anything related to that. Also, then right to privacy answer would be D because the passage does not mention anything related to setting up digital institutions.
And agri answer is C 100% because the main theme was having a good price incentive. It can come from higher global agri commodity prices but it is not essential. If value added products related to horticulture and livestock are created, that price incentive holds. So 4 is definitely wrong. 2 and 3 is correct. Agar passage mei verbatim diya hai to it is right. Upsc will never waver.

Not at all offended. I just want logical consistency. Agar aap bol rahe ho right to privacy ka D aur genome editing ka B ho sakta hai, then I'd agree for agri waale ka B. Agar source articles ko follow kar rahe ho, then follow them for all. Pick one logic and stick to it.
I think upsc will take context of passage which were in question paper only ...if the entire article is taken into consideration the sole purpose of comprehensive analysis will go away ... I don't know what I will score in csat but this year csat comprehension will totally make chaos .... UPSC prelims is something which is biggest hurdle now
UPSC has already abandoned the concept behind RCs. Either they don't know how to frame questions or they are doing it on purpose. I got 99 percentile in my GRE verbal just in July. Answers to RCs in GRE have be based solely on the passage and nothing else. You can't assume anything. In upsc, this does not seem to be the case. It wants you to extrapolate and assume a lot of things not mentioned in RCs.

Final to kuch bhi nahi bhai. Vision did a blunder this year by venturing into csat and by joining the mudfest of RCs. Unhone koshish kari hai explanations provide karne ki. Because explanations bhi hai aur visionias reputed bhi, people are more inclined to take it as gospel. Trust it on math and logical reasoning questions. Not on RCs.

I think it's like this :
1. Criticial inference / message / summary of the passage can be arrived and the answers given are from the RC itself.
2. Questions in which assumptions are asked might be taken up from the article
If you see and try to get a pattern most of the coaching institutes have different keys with assumption questions and almost 12-13 answers are not debatable with 6 keys , they are clear and same.
Coaching keys are most of the time wrong on assumption based RC, In such questions you can't look for RC and must look article. What's the point of asking for assumption if it's explicitly mentioned in RC itself . To substantiate further Check shankar's keys in 2018 and 19 . In 2018,nine of their RC's are wrong and 6 of them are assumption based ones only.
Haan bhai. When did dispute any of this? Assumptions mei only upsc goes for the source articles. Mera bhi score source articles ke karan 80+ se 65-71 ke beech ho gaya. I would be happy if upsc doesn't look into the source articles but to my disappointment, it always has.
