Apx 150+ sites are hotspot ,more than 100s are on penultimate red-zones, we are not testing enough ,false negatives, reappearance/resurgence of virus ...are these things considered (will be considered on 3rd,hopefully.)
after 3rd upsc may take 7 days to decide centers by 15th they release admit cards and on 15th we will book hotel,bus,train,tickets (forget about carpooling or center pooling).on 31st we will be provided hand sanitisers , masks and a to-do to maintain precautions.
Hotspots ,districts,states ,IFS/NRIs wards will be provided additional attempts .

Once a candidate from some centre shows some symptom ,the evening UPSc will press release asking to go all candidates of that centre on quarantine and then Aranab will start showing his color on tv debates.
UPSC clearly understand the situation of the students.they knew that we want to know the exact date so that we can plan our studies accordingly.

UPSC is constitutional body and it will not take any random decision. It will consider every aspect and until the things become as clear as 'normal' it wont risk spread.

This is the ground reality of our nation , healthcare system is pathetic and dangerous.
On tv what we see is a glittering periphery of India where the issues are shown as difft.(rafel ,sushant ,mhrd) but the fact is the core of India is suffering and in painful condition at present.
Earlier we had daily briefing by health,home dept now when case is surging like hell no one seems to have seriousness of it.
Recently 1 of my friend tested covid +ve. Fear griped me ,i got full fear what if i too have contracted the virus. I had met him 8 days back before his result. I feared for my family ,i started feeling guilt,got depressed.
No study during these days,just prayed to show no symptoms. Luckily i am ok but i got near experience of,what the person or family go through when they get c +ve.
UPSC can take exam whenever it wants but only pray is, it should analyse the depth of the situation of the candidates and out nation.
Now graph is rising steadily in Bihar.Hope it dont become next Delhi or Mumbai.
I am from a small town in Bihar. I changed my center from Delhi to Patna. From my town no trains are currently plying towards anywhere. I have only 1 option and that is Road transport. There are no intercity buses operating in Bihar from where I am to Patna. Only option is to book a cab at exorbitant prices and travel 220 kms to reach the test center. Further, since there are only 2 centers in whole of Bihar ie. in Patna and Gaya, both in West bihar, students from all over the state are going to flock to Patna especially, it being the capital. And Corona is raging in full heat in the state. Ideally, after exam I would have to undertake 14 days of quarantine so that my parents are safe, but my house doesn't have the luxury of having a completely separate room for 14 days. And god forbid I start showing symptoms, the health infra which was already bare minimum in the state has gone to the dogs.
This is a big gamble. The worst would be spending 10000 for cab, not clearing prelims and also getting infected. That could be the case with countless number of students.

Upsc is a political issue for core hindi belt leader.They wont let is go without brewing some benefit out of this situation.
So, if Shah Faesal can be back after a hiatus of 1.5 years to service, so can OP Chaudhary! Or Kannan Gopinathan. Or... well a long list can be made.But, it would be a horrible precedent for future.Take Faesal's case: He broke every Code of Conduct for Civil Services (before and) after his resignation. He formed a political party, openly opposed a law passed by the Parliament, tarnished India's image by ranting on international TV channels before getting arrested last August. He has dishonored the standing and responsibility in every possible manner which he was conferred upon by virtue of being a member (more so an elated topper) of this civil service.
Personally, for him, his two choices are equally bad. He has no future in politics. IF (a big if) he reenters IAS, he would have lost support and respect of kashmiris, his colleagues, juniors and seniors- a sort of pariah.
Feel bad for him.
He was one of the biggest reasons to draw me towards Civil services preparation a decade back.
He can be one of the biggest example of the so called anti national tag.
If in that case as well resignation is not accepted then why so hue n cry.

I broke down; clung on to my mother so tight and cried as if for a breath of life again.My preparation isn't perfect, but things have been looking up for me the past few months.
