The magnetic field is used to contain the hot plasma. I don't think it is used to generate power. Power is generated by fusion only. But Forum's key says answer is D.

Don't read too much in between the lines. As a general statement it is correct... It is just a poorly framed statement.
But I think we all know what they meant to ask...and the use of plasma is also very clear to us.. It is obviously not used to "generate" the energy...
Let's just hope upsc doesn't put us in situations like these.
When was for the first time MCC was implemented? In 1962 or in 1971 general election.
EC traces its introduction to the 1960 Assembly elections in Kerala. During simultaneous polls to the Lok Sabha and Assemblies in several States in 1962, the EC circulated the code to all recognised parties, which followed it “by and large”. In October 1979, the EC came up with a comprehensive code that saw further changes after consultations with parties.
@sstarrr earlier somewhere I told that major minerals are auctioned by central government while for minor minerals is done by state governments.
Sorry, it seems like this was incorrect, non coal mines have to be auctioned by respective state governments including major minerals. So minerals including major within territories of state are owned by respective state governments while minerals in territorial waters and EEZ are owned by central government.

In this question, non financial debt is defined as those in which credit is issued by non financial entities. But isn't housing loans and credit cards also issued by banks? Why was its answer given as 'D'.?
As per my understanding it's not credit issued by non financial entities, but it is the debt that is not in the financial sector. So in this case, individuals, households and the government is not considered to be a part of the financial sector. The debt held by investment banks, insurance companies, commercial banks etc. would be financial debt since all these are part of the financial sector.
