Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.
@dr-ahmednaaz8567bang on evaluation.I also believe it will be between 765 to 770
@dr-ahmednaaz8567Geography ka paper 1 tough tha and 2 easy..u can't generalise based on ur optional.
@bevancom
I agree
@bevancomtrue...even i had experienced the same in 2018
@vvvikas0078212
Yes yes u r correct. But one paper easy and one difficult was followed in most of the optional. Also due to scaling score is uniform in all the optional.
@TeddyWestsidematlab 820 kareeb lana hoga for not being overdependent on interview
@bevancom
E 125
1- 85
2-90
3-95
4-90
Opt 235
@Shubz80s and 90s
@TeddyWestsideyes 2018 ki marking bhot strict hone ke bawjud 2017 se bus 35 marks kam hua cutoff kyuki log optional me ache marks la lete hai
@ranyo_asoka820 plus 160 will get one a rank ; for being in top 100 830-840 ki range plus avg interview
@sat_009and how much you used to score in test series? Did you follow IBC format in your answers in actual exam?
@GloriousMess26i never ever followed ibc for 10 markers, but for 15 marks i used ibc this time,
in 10 markers in some questions introduction and conclusion of 1 line given.
@sat_009okay.

@sat_009Sat Bhai apne GS ke marks batao yaar last year ke. Paper wise breakup. Thoda idea lagega where we stand.
@TeddyWestsideI feel there are many many candidates who scored better than what they expected too. No wonder why Pratham Kaushik ( Rank 5, 2017) a guy who was in a mindset to skip exam 20 days before went on to score more than 500 in GS alone. So I believe after a point, we just can’t know.
@Haeckel
fir cutoff bhi 650 jaaegi
@bevancombhai 90 marks in gs paper tak thik hai uske bad ek ek marks ke liye ladna padta hai,
even 20 percent of any model answer in most question will fetch 70 to 80 marks in strict checking (2018) and 90 to 95 in liberal checking (2017).
the real struggle is to get 130s in 2017 and 110s in 2018 which need completing paper barring 1 or 2 question where we dont know, plus good relevant content atleast 60 to 70 percent of demand of question must be addressed in most questions for such high marks,
people struggle to increase score only becoz they dont understand this simple thing...
your argument is not wrong altogether but any model answer prepared by coaching or any person after exam cant be ridiculed some of them are very great answers and presentation too, saying that all model approaches are rubbish or are not needed jeopardises our understanding of what really was asked
@TeddyWestsidenahi bhai itni kam nahi ja sakti..
It was my first mains so such prediction of marks as I couldn’t complete any paper except ethics.
@GloriousMess26yeah right you are; Subjects like essay ethics and optional can drastically move to either side from your expectations;
