How was your paper? How did you approach the paper?
While talking about EWS.
I know reservations are a touchy subject and whatever I say can become contraversial.
But there seems to be lot of scope for misuse or it's benefits not reaching genuine individuals.
I personally knew few friends, who got EWS certificates despite being financially well off.
One of my friends, who is in a AIS, was ready to go to an extent of taking a long leave for 2-3 years, transferring family assets onto name of benami, so that he can get an EWS certificate and fulfill his obsession of becoming an IAS.
His argument is. Getting under 72 in this exam is so much based on luck , but getting under 400 is somewhat possible and EWS can help with it .
While i don't know, the actual process of how this issuing EWS cert. and how it's verification works at ground level
But atleast govt should do something, so that it won't give unfair advantage to undeserving candidates.
Her family itr was beyond 4 lacs means income in range of 25 lacs , that’s why it’s cancelled
and even 4600 gp (9 month salary less than 8 lacs so they are in provided fulfill other criteria
Family income wasn't in the range of 25 lakhs nor was the ITR 4 lakhs. Cumulative income of her and her father's crossed 8 lakhs and it was around 9.5 lakhs.
@RaGa She gave mains this year bhai
Her performance will show how consistent upsc is in its evaluation or is it arbitrary..
I am eager to see her marks...
@RaGa She gave mains this year bhai
Has she applied again under EWS quota...
That would be hilarious..
I saw her house in a video.. it doesn't look as if a person can EWS can own such a good house..
@EiChan In 2020 also, she must have given.
No
@EiChan In 2020 also, she must have given.
No
Ye itna sab pata kaise chal gaya tum logo ko🤔
nagaraj judgement:
it asked government to look into sc creamy layer too.
st i cant remember
really looking forward for government to take steps in this direction
But those getting to lick the cream won't let the status quo change..
I feel a bit disheartened when my colleague gets same salary..reads same books but gets qualified just because he was born in a particular caste..
Get rank 500.. still get IAS.. In gen.. rank 80.. won't get ias.. problem is all those around me having availed reservation benefit belong to well to do families..
Now discrimination is not on caste.. but economic status..
U have money..u can enjoy lavish life..get club membership.. if you are poor..no matter which caste..u cannot enter the gate..
Indeed there should be creamy layer in all categories..
See example of meenas in rajasthan.. politically dominant..living style is luxurious..
But claim to be tribals.. that's another debate altogether.. any result u see.. st category is eaten up by meenas..
Anyways.. this is india.. we have to learn to live and assume that seats are only 40%...
