what is remit , suspend in pardoning power of president are they other name of ( pardon, commute , etc ) can please tell me with elaboration ???

Pardon= Ba-izzat bari kia jaata hai; all charges are absolved.

Commute= Changing the nature of the sentence, for example converting death sentence into life sentence, or life sentence into 20-30 years of imprisonment.

Remit= Reducing the time of the punishment. ex- If initially you were jailed for 15 years, after remitting, you may be jailed for 5 years ...

Respite= Changing/reducing the sentence in case of special cases, like pregnant women, old aged, physically challenged etc.

Suspend= Holding on for some time, so that the convict can in the meantime try out other forms of appeals etc.

But subsequent judgements of the Supreme Court say the govt can be sued even in the sovereign functions. So I'm confused .

Besides I have an another doubt . What are sovereign and non sovereign functions?

Who all are included in the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) scheme?

A table in class 9th economic ncert says poorest of the poor.
Department of Food and public distribution website lists several categories.
An institute’s explanation says, in 2006, all BPL households plus HIV positive people are now included in AAY category.( the DFPD website has information till budget of 2005-06).
