Geography optional Mains 2019 discussion | Lessons Learnt
Where are all the poor souls of geo in forum ?
Guys... What do you think about paper 1 ? Would it be like 2017 where people claimed they got much more than expected due to some lenient correction ?
Similarly in paper 2 I found that I had very less case studies and facts to quote on paper. Pls do comment so that we can have a gauge of the way optional is going.

Last year I got 100+ in GS2 and GS 4 (both went avg) while I was expecting good marks in paper 3 but got just 86 and in paper 1 it was a disaster (no idea how they had evaluated paper 1 )
Here I don't have any logical idea about marking pattern
All I can say is if paper is attempted with avg level and all parts of qusns are addressed with avg write-up ..u can expect 100+( Again it's my individual opinion)

@Ragsbecause I was not prepared well for Geography. I even didn't cover the whole syllabus.Didn't take coaching .After pre joined 500 + which is mainly for answer enrichment .

I also attended 500+
Attempted all tests though scored around 70-80 in sectional and 90plus in full test
This time i tried better structuring and better content through basic books and help of previous years questions

@Scorpion888I too attended500+.Itwas a demoralizing experience. My max score was 82.
