Geography optional Mains 2019 discussion | Lessons Learnt
Where are all the poor souls of geo in forum ?
Guys... What do you think about paper 1 ? Would it be like 2017 where people claimed they got much more than expected due to some lenient correction ?
Similarly in paper 2 I found that I had very less case studies and facts to quote on paper. Pls do comment so that we can have a gauge of the way optional is going.

@132_SIDAgree Bhai. But, If we check toppers marks, they are getting 560 to 580 in GS +Essay. Then, cannot we try for 550. Is it impossible?

Can not decide what to do .prepare for interview or prelims or optional.
Every day new permutations for getting gud score are made further deepening the crisis
@Scorpion888Very few know with certainty. I know someone who was sure that he won't make it to the final list and already started tweaking his strategy for next mains, but ended up getting IPS. So just hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

@Bubba_gumpnope bcuz wha thore time m hi question smjhna and krna hota h ....Inki tarah answer pe 2-5 din ka time nhi hota work krne ka .......Like vision ias ke gs ke answer ..They work hard to make good answer along with a team ........Exam ka scenario different hota h ......As it is to likh pana sambhav nhi h ...

@Bubba_gumpPossible if similar question from test series or 500+ appears in mains. Like de-industrialisation, hdi, aged population, IT growth, migration among others.
@Bubba_gumpMapping of the map question has to be a dot with a circle around it, so yes some approximation is allowed. I've been told that map location is marked liberally.
For the maps that we draw in our answers, flow patterns and regions should be well presented along with labelling.

@Bubba_gumpsimilar to 2017, the difference is that I've completed both the papers. Rest it's upto the examiner whether he finds the content relevant or not.
