Mains 2021: Doubt and strategy discussion thread

I don't know what to say, really. Prelims is over. The discussion as regards the authenticity of answer keys is the most futile discussion. So, I am creating this thread as a necessary and much-needed diversion. Three months to the biggest battle of our professional lives begins now. All comes down to how we heal and grow from now on, and either, we heal or we're gonna crumble. Day by day. 

We're in a toxic environment right now, fellas. Believe me. And, we can stay here, get the s**t kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. Mains is the road ahead for everyone of us notwithstanding our current predicament. So, let's continue to fight and not let our guard down.

@Chuatur_ Prani did you save the form you filled for prelims? You'd get to know from it if it you filled it wrong or there is some issue from upsc's end.

yes. Although i must ask you one thing. what is ews annexure? is it the pro-forma for certificate in english?

Sorry technically its an undertaking whose format is in annexure

But this is whats mentioned, I could not find the clarification where its written that undertaking is to be submitted at a later stage.

There are a lot of references to Rules of Civil Services Examination, 2020 in the instructions to fill DAF. It is mentioned that they were published in "Part I – Section 1 of the Govt. of India Gazette of India (Extraordinary) dated 12th February, 2020".

But, I am not able to find this. Can anyone let me know where to find this document?

what i mean is the ews annexure is to be submitted with daf 2. I dont know what is ews annexure? you should call upsc and clarify. They will definitely help.

No, you don't have to upload your photo, just your Photo ID, which you had mentioned in your prelims application form (along with other documents).See image:

@मुसाफिर fill the form with the same ews certificate that you have filled in prelims exam ( the old certificate )

@मुसाफिर If you clear the unreserved cutoff, you will be shifted to unreserved. As harsh as it may sound, if you don't your candidature would probably get cancelled. The entire EWS case last year was regarding certificate date itself. You can call UPSC for more clarification.

call upsc and ask. also if you dontproduce caste certificate, you will be considered unreserved. your candidature wont be cancelled. you just have to match unreserved standards now.

in graduation certificate upload do we have to upload the final degree. or all the marksheets semester wise?

Also we can scan these documents from a mobile app right ? how to make sure it is 200dpi?
