How was your paper? How did you approach the paper?
Does anyone has Civil engineering as Optional?How was your paper this year?
I felt p2 was tougher but then I hadn’t prepared the kind of questions from railways and surveying asked in Q1. P1 was little lengthy and I made a few mistakes in p1. How was yours…how do you compare it with the previous years papers….this years other optionals seems to be easier…
Forumite,@King_of_the_dead I didn't find civil paper easy.May be arts optionals got comparatively easier paper but I found it tougher than other years .Paper 1 was easy but very lengthy.Moreover,as we attempt more, accuracy falls.I too made silly mistakes in paper 1.Its common.However, most surprising was paper 2.Part 1 was very tough.I can clearly say that this part 1 was toughest I have ever seen.Part 2 was as usual.So overall paper 2 was tougher than other years.Paper 1 as usual was very lengthy
Yes, part 1 of p2 was were tough. The paper was designed to test the carpentry skills as well…who reads the labelling of roofs or doors…
P1 was lengthy and it involved many tedious calculations for many of the questions. Only if there is some lenient marking and scaling we can hope of getting a decent marks. Hopefully it will be so. But the other subjects optionals were easier esp. PSIR, Anthro and socio. I don’t know how they will strike a balance amongst these optionals….

I was kinda hoping for UPPCS Bhavan, don’t know why they went with this - this one was bad.
Last year it was UPPCS Bhavan. And this year, it was torture.
Btw@wellofsnakes , we mortals cannot grasp the ideas in the heads of UPSC Gods. :P

bhaiyon and beheno,just randomly asking, isbar kab tak result aane ki aasha hai aap sab ke hisaab se?(i mean as per last year timing,this yera prelims being early and less number of mains copies being checked)..plz marna mat for asking such faltui question..but yaar chul machi pari hai aap sab ka guesses janne ke liye :) :D
last year 23rd march ko aaya tha is baar 7 days phle aa jana chahiye. we can expect it around 15th March. Prelims last year bhi jaldi hone wala tha mains ke result ke baad hi postpone hua tha shayad.

Bring out the constructive programmes of Mahatma Gandhi during Non-Cooperation Movement and Civil Disobedience Movement.
Can anyone please tell me that constructive programs were between the movements or during the movements..
Work done among tribals.
Schools were opened.
Bhajan mandalis started.
Congress workers publishing content in vernacular languages.
Political education among rural public.
Khadi and charkha activity in his own ashram and as a sustainable economic alternative.
Work against caste discrimination, like communal meals.
Picketing toddy/arrack shops.
etc etc
