Mains 2021 Result declared - In or Out?

In 2019.. I too scored around 670... But in 2020 nowhere close to him...I think having confidence in yourself is the key...

Kudos to the efforts of the successful candidate..

Scoring 100+ in GS is not so easy..

It sounds easy but needs a lot of hard work to reach 3 digit figures...

when can a person expect interview call?

if across 4 gs papers marks are average and no question left. and essay is above average and 1 optional paper has become an issue due to time shortage. is there anyone who could get interview call when they least expected them to. what are the parameters to judge oneself regarding interview call.

The word average for gs papers is very subjective..

Due u regard 90 as an average score in gs.??

If so.. u would score around 360+130+250.. around 740.. a decent score in my opinion.. anyone getting around 720+ may hope for personality test call..

in the papers from gs 1 to 3, score was 85-88 with i think leaving1 q 10 or 15 marker. gs 4 i was in top 20. marks were 98. so i have kept that as my base. i have given only 4 papers. rest i have given elsewhere. in final exam, no q was left. and i dont think ive particularly messed up ( i havent seen any solutions videos etc).by messed up i mean, demand fulfilled in all qs to best possible extent,vague questions also answered but not accurately, all questions in IBC format

Wrote last three mains and in my opinion-

GS-1= almost same level as 2019 but easier than 2020

GS-2= Easier than 2019 but tougher than 2020

GS-3= Easier than 2019 same as 2020

GS-4= Tougher than 2019 easier than 2020

I think cutoff should be little more than 2020 if marking pattern remained same.

Please also factor in essay paper..

Based on what I could understand from the tg group yesterday.. the insiders said that in essay many are getting marks in double digits.. number of such candidates is more this year...

Also gs3 marking is a bit strict..

These may be speculations but considering the authenticity of the info they gave in the past..it seems to be true..

I think cut off should hover around as last year.. slightly on the lower side though

@Declared_Dead GS 2 and GS 3 had some questions of the variety of straightforward and vague. if you look at the paper you will realise this. and secondly across the papers, they have done things to lower marks like one, asking exact things like OSOWOG signing year, volcanoes of 2021 etc and two, asking examples and illustrations like DRSC illustrations and wetland examples and SHG examples. such sprinkling of straightforward questions gives no scope to increase marks thereby decreasing subjectivity. and thirdly, and this is personal opinion, GS 2 questions and some GS 3 were not asking 2 subparts and it had become diffcult to even decode the exact demand of questions. fourthly, again personal opinion and some others felt this too, some questions simply had not enough content to be answered. you can revisit papers and these things will be agreed to be you. hence cutoff will fall.
