Height of Confidence
The 2012 Topper of IIT Jee was Arpit Aggarwal. He was from our school. 1 week prior to exam, he and the 2009 topper (Nitin Jain, he too was from our school) visited our classroom to give us some tips. I asked Arpit how come he is so sure of topping the exam. He smiled and said that no one else is scoring as much as me from the answer keys.
On the result date, he started to wait for the chairman's call and the call of congratulations did come in the early morning.
What if UPSC too declares Mains marks prior to interview...

But as I moved on to 5th 6th answer.. it became gibberish
There may be chances that you get good marks if you have written above average in other questions..so there are good chances brother..Baki Kisi ko bhi na pata ki kya work karega kya nh..paper complete karna selection ka assurance nh hai...Dar ka mahol hai..Baki dekhte hai kya hota hai

Depends ki kaun sa 65 marks ka attempt nhi kiya. Agar WHO, GDP type k questions chhode hain toh jyada fark nhi padega (considering that k jo time save hua woh dusre questions k quality ko improve krne main ise kiya). Sayad tmhare favor main bhi kaam kr jaaye
population control wala question in GS1, rights india and US GS2, WHO question GS3 and one 10 marker each in GS 4 and optional paper 1

I am new to Forum threads. I have a question regarding personality tests. Are questions asked from entire DAF or only from the summary sheet? I wonder if the entire DAF is visible to the board members at all? The DAF contains information regarding caste and categories and I read somewhere that the board is not aware about the reservation of the candidate. If this is the case, then the board must be having limited access to the DAF.
Someone please shed some light on how the process works. The youtube topper mocks have confused me; there the panel has access to the DAF in its entirety.
There is ambiguity regarding access to DAF, some say they only get to have summary sheet, but it would correct to assume they have access to your entire DAF.
Iam not aware of the process in recent years but I believe candidates were called in such a way that gen cat competed the interview process first and later others, this i had read on quora.
Thanks for sharing this. So I did a bit of analysis; went through some of the interview transcripts available on the forum platform and almost always found questions from areas mentioned in the summary sheet only. It might be a coincidence that I only referred to such transcripts but I am safely assuming that summary sheet is all they (board) have. I am rooting my preparation based on this assumption for now.
i had a doubt. i saw in a youtube video of BYJUs that ,in DAF 2 they ask only about current job and not past job experience (in DAF 1, they asked about past job experience).. so during interview, do they have access to information of only DAF 2 or both DAF1 and DAF 2??
I Just read the GS-4 papers again. HIndi Translation of Illustration in the paper was दृष्टांत , which means a story, parable of example

Bhai ye marks predict krne ka talent kuch logo m hi hota h . Unfortunately m unme se nhi hu .but mains clear ho jayega atleast ye lga tha .

bhai..agar 21 ke baad aata hai to 22nd march already 65 th day hoga after exam jabki isbar papers bhi kam the check karne ke liye compared to last year (almost 1330 less mains answersheets as compared to 2020)..But PIL by students affected by Covid and SC order to centre to reply by 21st march may lead to further delay i mean beyond 21 march

gs1 me liberal ka koi matlab nai waise hi static h
gs4 me liberal/strict baat barabar hai kyunki isko evaluate kar hi nai sakte
gs 3 me pehle 130-140-150 aate the ab 100 nai aa rahe hain
gs 2 toh waise hi weak hota h

I have interacted with around 20 mains candidates.. including few on this forum through chat..
Around 80% of them said that they have performed well and are expecting around 270+ in optional and 130+ in essay..
In GS .. Expectation of around 400 is common among candidates this year..
So point I m making is..
Many are expecting 800+ this year.. whether they get or not is altogether a different story..
Expectations are higher this year than previous.. this shows paper was easier this year atleast as per the perception of the candidates..
PS.. I m not exaggerating.. stated what I have observed..
On a lighter note-
There is a saying in law - " A man who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client"
It may be modified to - " A man who is his own paper checker has a fool for an aspirant "
One who cannot estimate his/her performance is not an expert either.. it is not wrong to be able to make a rational analysis of performance..
Some people are trying to project as if those guessing their marks are fools and only they are smart.. but actually it's other way around...
hahahaha hank bhai personal le liya tumne but hum nahi lenge. Ye khela kai baar dekh chuke hain cut-off, good answer, bad answer, tough paper easy paper. I say with confidence of an expert that rational analysis in this exam is not possible at all. Baaki haan anxiety hoti hai to hum bhi thoda calculator chala lete hain but deep down pata hai ki it is futile excercise. Lekin to each their own. Khela chalte rahna chahiye.
