[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

The condition of students and others involved in UP B.ed exam will become a reference point for govt if ofcourse up govt does provide the logistics truthfully ..if any infections happen they admit it ..

By analysing current rising trend in daily new cases & fatality its highly possible that exam will be postponed as UPSC is a wise body unlike other states /psc. The level of CSE exam is happened every year requires lot of preparation & resource. In the pandemic with no sign of any reprise its unlikely that CSE will be going sooner or later with 8+ lak candidate to conduct exam.

@Rudra12 mere family wale to chill hai but relatives and neighbours who hav not seen me for couple if years due to delhi stay are like.. abhi bhi upsc kar raha hai ? Hua nhi kya ? Age hogaya ab?..well my optimistic parents are also now slowly turning against upsc prep and exam givin..unable to sit and study at home seriously ..😀

@Samurai_jackdon't worry bro, relatives are real villains. " har ghar kee ek hi kahaani" even though my parents are supportive (somewhat), relatives always poke into our lives. they are like delhi smog. Its everywhere and you cannot escape its wrath.

I was in same situation don't worry but took a job after mains failure and got some savings which I would later invest. So hope is not lost just that in covid times jobs will be hard to comeby unlike 4 5 years ago but hey starting biz would be easier relatively with cheaper loans and displacement of old businesses. So always have that in mind that all is not lost you can always win especially with your upsc knowledge be it cse or elsewhere. ATB bro!

@Tejas14 bhai revise karlena ....after 10th sep jitna padha h ......give sectional test papers atleast 4-5 for each pillar and then 10-15 full test and exam 7-8 din pehle kewal upsc past year questions .......bhai exam mei dimaag ki bati ekdum khuli rakhna( real game if of elimination) aur mock test papers ke score se kuch fark ni padta h......

While issuing the EWS certificate.. if the land rights are in the name of late grandfather, then the landed property will be devolved to his legal heirs only if there is a formal partition deed or a partition suit clearly showing the share of each legal heirs. If there's no such deed or suit, and the land rights still hold the name of the late grandfather, then the applicant's father (say you are the applicant and your father is one of the legal heirs of the late grandfather) has no share. 
However, the discretion lies with the authority issuing ews certificate. 
For ews three things are primarily checked - annual family income, family landed property details and the caste of the applicant.
Several states have e-service certificates delivery mechanism, to apply for ews you may visit your state's portal and apply for ews certificate with the tehsildar of your tehsil. None below the rank of tehsildar can grant it.

Can you get EWS Certificate if you are into services but take Extraordinary leave (EOL) with no salary? Although your alloted income is more than 8 LPA but if because of your leave or any other reason if you don't get the salary or get less than 8 LPA for a particular year - can you get EWS Certificate for that year?

I have seen many general category people of previous years converting into EWS although getting less rank but better service.

Example -


Will it be applicable only in your first year of service or subsequent?

At what level EWS CUTOFF will stabilize for subsequent years?
