[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021
Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

I think we have researched the answers a lot.Now, playing answers answers game won't be of much help in terms of mental peace to anyone.It has reached equilibrium and UPSC will be the fate decider as always.
This would be my last post and kindly request everyone here to please predict the cutoff.No range just one number.(Assuming that marks r given to deserving Hindi students in Gandhi Irwin)
My take is 96.67(General)
91, given gandhi irwin is deleted. 93 otherwise.
Raison d etre -
1. Difficult qp so on avg people have 2 questions less in kitty (very similar to 2016 to 17 transition and 2017 to 18 transition). That amounts to 2.67*2 = 5.34 marks
2. Further 1 mark fall in cutoff thanks to abysmal turnouts.
Round 0.33 mark balanced out by lesser seats
So 98-5.33-1+0.33= 92 as per upsc key

This time there will not be any variation in answer key of coaching and upsc, as all questions are settled and we have seen facts even written in books for desher katha and for rukma. Only question that remains is 6 months and Gandhi. Which upsc will decide. And coachings have given lower cut off just by seeing previous yr trend and theyy say even that cutoffs are subject to upsc keys because above 2 questions I mentioned might go to any side and if Gandhi question deleted which is most probably then cut off comes 96 from. Previous yr. I can firmly say that cut off will be 95 , not less then that in any case. So whatever u r getting marks first delete 2 marks of Gandhi, because upsc won't give marks for Gandhi to all rather it will delete it just
It may also provide marks fr both 124 and 1 only .

How abt csat ? Was it difficult or same level with respect to 2019 ? Whats opinion of arts people ..
Brethren, cutoff will be at forum consensus cutoff - 4 atleast.
2017 it was 110 (Upsc cutoff 105)
Last year it was 102. (Upsc cutoff 98)
Year previous to that it was 100/101 (Upsc cutpff 97)
last 2 years almost no one on forum claimed to have less than 100 marks, yet when names appeared 80% were binned. Out of the 80%, I would say 20 25% had shitty luck, but the rest were just dishonest.
Given forum is sticking at 95, upsc will have cutoff at 91 to 93.

I am hating my friends when they say that paper was easy. You. An do it by elimination. Why you attempted so less. I could have Get easily 130 int his paper. Just disgusting on those guys in library who have not attempted the paper on 4rth of October. Exam pressure one bubbling and current affairs baggage in my mind. Which all influenced my options. I cannot take risk just by eliminating every question. One or two question is max I can take risk. Not everything right.
A - you're under pressure
B - you have only 2 hours
C - you will always feel like you could have done better once you step out of the exam hall
If you are getting decent marks(90+), don't waste time and study for mains
@VivekanandS I did a small survey of 300 people only 18 of them in were EWS. The % varied from 5-7% after 50 votes.Considering the low cutoff in most of other exams especially in second year ( after the bubble that almost everyone is ews got burst) was so so low. You can expect even lower cutoff for ews than last year.Last year upsc gave a 4 month window to get the ews certificate so people thinking no matter what I will get a Ews certificate filled the form as ews, later they couldn’t produce the certificate and you a historic decline in mains cutoff for ews. This time no such provision. Expect it to be 85-87

Bhai the first 3 pages are a preface written by someone else 😂. I read 4 chapters, the problem is that, he calls desh but sticks to economic exploitation of bengal. He calls for revival of hindu jaati but then again goes into hur dur bengal revivalism needed. However I am 80% convinced it will be 1n2 only and that I have done it wrong, as I marked all. Nothing against you or anyone. But just to be on the safe side, i tell everyone the least possible marks (hence I have taken minister D wrong too). It helps coz if I don't make it, I am prepared for it already.
