[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

Even today, we had around 24k cases. We have overtaken Russia and are in the 3rd spot presently. Even amidst the pandemic, the number of seats would remain as advertised i.e. 900 odd for 2019 and 800 odd for 2020. So, accuracy and peaking at the right time is extremely crucial. I totally understand what some of the interview candidates must be going through as I went through the same phase in March. Now the condition is atleast 100 times worse. In this situation sometimes it becomes difficult to bring out the best in ones performance. In addition to that, many prelims candidates have left Delhi for their homes, and maybe that shift wont allow them to be at their 100%.

I think some of us should try writing emails and tweets regarding our problems. I can and have done both, but I dont think they would pay much heed to a solitary voice. I hope whoever is reading this and is facing some problem, definitely lets the authorities know. I think it would be fair if they allow one additional attempt next year to those who lose out this year, as a one time measure. Even important exams like university finals, CBSE, competitive exams like NEET and JEE etc got postponed/cancelled purely due to the voicing of concerns of the candidates. I request you (anyone who is facing issues due to the pandemic and uncertainty surrounding the whole process) to be a bit verbose and email/tweet the relevant authorities.

@FinalMission I saw on twitter ..kuch canditure withdraw karne ka option maang rahe 2020 ke liye ....so that they can save their attempt ....2019 ( mains qualified ) aur 2020 ko toh compensate karna chahiye

@Johnyjohny Mostly hoga if no vaccine by october which is what it seems like. See even neet and jee got postponed by 2 months, CA exam cancelled CFA cancelled. Everything is looking bleak as of now.

Border issue won't be there. For this year's interviews, UPSC has mailed people saying the esummon can be used to prevent the interviewees from home quarantine. We can expect a similar notification for Prelims as well.

@Neyawn for people who want dholpur house as their mains centre try giving prelims outside delhi and choose mains centre as delhi. this method has high success rate but not sure it will work this year.
i am not bluffing as i have seen people trying this method. this year i have done the same but due to covid i may change my delhi centre to somewhere near my location.
please guys don't criticize me on its effectiveness as i have already said it just increases the probability of getting upsc as a centre(as i said i don't know whether it will work this year for those who are changing centres).

Now that this information is public and will reach a lot of aspirants through this platform again the probability will further decrease🤣.

I know. This is terrible. 

The way people pick up things from here and then it spreads like wildfire. 

I remember a few years back. ( Read Long Back ) when forum was new and we used to have all Interview discussions here, Alka Ma'am board was asking a question on the design of an aeroplane.

Something that one would not normally know. But the question was leaked and by Day 3 everyday was answering the question fluently. Even when one was supposed to NOT know the answer.

Alka Ma'am moved away from CA based and othet questions to completely DAF based questions that year.

One query: Only those candidates who wish to change their centres are required to refill it. Those who don't wish/are happy with their existing centres don't need to reselect the centres, right?
