@D503 Would like to know that logic too. So, I did read about ana and cata but I always end up confusing myself on which one is which (finally this helped remember : https://indianexpress.com/article/explained/explained-the-farakka-lock-and-hilsa-why-there-is-both-hope-and-apprehension-7185620/ )
A good funda to crack is that since ana and cata are terms heard in the news in relation to fishes migration, logically pota should be matched against the third or the last entry on the right, ie, spawning and growth within fresh water. That eliminates 2 and hence, you can arrive at option A.
