In terms of comfort while writing for long periods, a non-interrupting ink, glide over the paper, water resistance etc.
Uniball Air Micro(fully waterproof and has a very good grip). I have tried many other pens of uniball, pilot, linc, cello, 2rs pens etc., but this is the best.
previous favourites : pilot v5 without cartridge (not waterproof), linc pentonic ball(ink smudges on paper, thin), cello pinpoint ball (ink smudges on paper a bit, when you use the new piece initially for 1-2 pages it gives a weird grip and handwriting)
@The Mechanic just ask for a pilot cartridge. Nowadays V5 and V7 have the same cartridge since V5 refills are now available.
@calvinhobbes When you are a lefty, your hand is usually on the place where you actually write. In righty, your hand is away from the paper. A hack for that is to keep the notebook slightly tilted so my hands are a bit away from the paper.
Any left handers recommendations? Honestly most gel pens and V5 are quite useless if you’re left handed. I used a V7 for the mains, but I really want a waterproof pen that writes with moderate thickness and gives decent handwriting (which is a steep ask as a left hander)
Trimax worked well for me. Specially to make the handwriting legible. Worth a shot!
Thanks I will try that. I’m sick of brilliant pens not working for me
@DeekshitaP what's up with being a left-hander? I'm one and I don't see any problem with gel pens
Something to do with the ball in the gel pen nibs going in the opposite direction. That, and smudges on the hand.
Lefty and a V5 user. Has anyone tried the recent cartridges that fit in V5 as well as V7? They are waterproof, making V5 a good deal.
Also I don’t know about others but back in school V5 was the most aspirational pen of all time. You were pretty loaded if you carried a V5. So, according to 16yo me I have made it in life.
@dalpha bhai do they not leak on sheet and can be seen on other side ?? Have you written with them on mains sheet ??Also they are kind of slow
Which pen are you talking about out of all the names I mentioned?
I've not written mains till now so, no idea about mains sheet. But, I've the notebook of mains type of pages which I bought from market. So if you want to know about that then I can try writing in that notebook and let you know.
About being slow, I don't think any of these are slow but, i can't be sure because i have had a fine handwriting speed since school days.
