In terms of comfort while writing for long periods, a non-interrupting ink, glide over the paper, water resistance etc.
@Luffy I have a Schneider Topball 811 that I'm currently trying out. The pens being delivered tomorrow are Schneider 0.6mm One Business Roller Ball.
@The Mechanic just ask for a pilot cartridge. Nowadays V5 and V7 have the same cartridge since V5 refills are now available.
@calvinhobbes When you are a lefty, your hand is usually on the place where you actually write. In righty, your hand is away from the paper. A hack for that is to keep the notebook slightly tilted so my hands are a bit away from the paper.
2019, V5 Cartridge, after 4 refills, roller lost hold of its nib. Haven't used it post this.
I never faced this problem because your palm will always be much below(relative to line spacing) from your fingertips over the nib.
@dwightschrute I've heard about thin pens causing a lot of hand pain after a 3-hour exam. Have you written any with Pentonic Gel?
Yes!!!!! That’s one of my biggest grip(e)s about ball pens in general. (Sorry about the pun. It just wrote itself)

I’m a top line arm bender and it’s too late to change how I write now. I do try to angle my sheet as much as possible but still that arm bend is firmly in place
