[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

@Consistency Nope. I used an N95 mask. Although, I am not sure of its reliability as I had ordered it online.

Read in the news that in case of JEE exams being conducted today, students have to discard their masks and wear the ones provided by authorities.

Breathing valve also doesn't help much though a little better. I think I will have to remove the mask or slide it down. No option, cannot risk prelims.

@Thanos_ I meant whatever we may discuss or plan like N 95/ N 195/ multiple valve, high probability is all of us would have to wear what Govt chooses to provide.

In any case, no chits can help in upsc.

@Thanos_ Surgical masks or simple 3 layer mask are better for breathing but not as much effective at protection as compared to N95.

Nellore to Tirupati about 140km, 3 hrs journey. What do you guys recommend taking a room there the previous day or starting early in the morning on Exam day? Generally I used to take a room nearby the centre but this time considering the risks involved, evaluating the options available. What do you guys suggest?
