How was your paper? How did you approach the paper?
There are good people among insiders, no doubt, as in everything. But there are people with not so good intentions too. My only point is, why take a chance? Let UPSC itself declare the result date in advance. Let's not depend upon middlemen.
To those who say, "if you don't like it, just ignore it", we can ignore anything that way. If you don't like corruption, ignore it. At least these corrupt guys get things done, right?

My Mains 2021 performance
Essay : Section A Ok (given the difficulty in section A, i did ok kind of performance) ; Section B : Not ok. Post half of the essay, due to time constraint, finished off without much. So it is VERY AVERAGE category
ALL EXCEPT ETHICS PAPER WENT SATISFIED . GS 2 & 3 More satisfied. . GS 4 : Left One question in 10M. Did average.
Optional is Geography : Both papers went decent.
Will I be able to clear MAINS 2021?
This thing never gets out of my mind and am constantly assessing myself about my performance. I knew that i must start for personality test, prelims as well. But still.
Can somebody help me??

Unfortunately no one else will be able to help you in this regard, because, even if you write down your answers for others to see, nobody knows about the answer keys or how valuation is done. Besides, others themselves may not know how they will fare (except may be the top 10). Only thing to rely on is your gut feeling. (Sorry for the repetition) If you feel confident, do interview prep full on; if you feel okayish, do prelims+interview; if you feel terrible, do prelims full on.
Bro i considered it as good in the sense that i didn't take into account who guidelines question, s400, blue LED, GDP methodology calculation which i think atleast 90% of aspirants would not have given the right answer. The competition i see is with the rest of the questions
In my opinion only WHO question was tough rest were fine for many senior candidates.
AQG also
I believe it is easy to identify certain questions as tough.. like S400, GDP, WHO
But the other questions which we believe to have written well are not so simple and direct either..
It is the impression of familiarity with the questions which make us categorise the questions as tough or easy.. but marking pattern may be otherwise
In 2019, i was confident of gs 1, was hoping to get 95, instead got 65, gs 2 went pathetic was expecting 60-70 and got 65 here too. There is simply no way I still can't compare how both the papers got similar marks.
But i have learnt one thing, that it's useless to think about marks once it's over. Sometimes feeling of elation after attempting may also be false. Better to simply focus on the task ahead and work for that, ie pre and interview prep, but we all know it's easier said than done.

What factors made u believe that you will score well in gs 1 in 2019..
How were your papers in 2020 and 2021...
I also came across a post somewhere.. the candidate was expecting 100+ .. drew 3 world maps for better presentation.. ended up getting 57 in gs 1..

Do you mean to suggest that marking is done arbitrarily and not done on merit..
I think it is the self assessment part where we are mistaken.. maybe we tend to overestimate/ underestimate ourselves..
Pointing towards arbitrariness will make the whole mains preparation pointless
